Mitt Romney says President Obama’s immigration order was politically motivated but does not say he would repeal it

www.boston.com/politicalintelligence/201...

Well, this appears to make the quandry more interesting.

If this executive order is so appalling to Craner whatever will he do when Romney does not repeal it?

When you actually consider the demographic this affects, the wording of the order, and the fact it is only meant to be a temporary measure until Legislation can be drafted that will stand up to Republican fillibusters, it is a good thing in my opinion.

Perhaps people should read up on this a little more to learn what it entails.

Craner, it is not about getting you, nor is it about being in Mensa.  It is about the inconsistencies in your thinking.  If Obama is wrong, shouldn't it be a clear cut answer from Romney that he will repeal this?  And if that is his intention, and he refuses to say so, isn't he doing the same pandering you are accusing Obama of doing?

Or, perhaps, it is not about the actual issue (that I am assuming you know nothing about) and it is really about the fact you just hate Obama, and no Matter what he does, nothing will change that, which of course makes your posts about that issue completely disingenuous.

On a side not about the Mensa 'thing'.  I have found the only people (in my experience) to actually care about Mensa are those that have tried to get in, and couldn't.

Billy its so obvious what he's doing pandering to a voting block he needs, he's desperate. The man proves again he doesnt have any respect for the law or the Constitution. No surprise.

I bet he just wishes that yr old video tape didnt exist but he shouldn't worry, the media wont bother with it.

I can't believe you would be opposed to suspending the deportation of children. You are just looking for the smallest issue to attack Obama even when you know what he did was right. You worry more about the fact that he changed his mind than on the fact that this was the right thing to do.

What's amusing is to watch the right acting aghast over this as if no other president has ever pandered during a campaign. It really shows you that the indignation from the right is merely a political ploy on their own part. If Romney had proposed this over the objections of the president Kraut would have been having an orgasm over it. These political pundits are just shills for whoever pays them.

I am King afterall. So he overturns everything he said in that previous video. Then BS's us saying its the right thing for us....no Fraud, it's all about votes. Law be damned.

"Beyond the pandering, beyond the politics, beyond the process is simple constitutional decency. This is out-and-out lawlessness. You had a clip of the president himself say months ago 'I cannot do this on my own because there are laws on the books.' Well, I have news for the president: The laws remain on the books, they haven't changed," syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer said on "FOX News" tonight.

"He proposed the DREAM Act of which the executive order is a variation. He proposed a DREAM Act. The Congress said no. The Congress is the one who makes the laws. What the administration does is it administers law. And in fact, what it's pretending to do is to use discretion, that's what the Homeland Security Secretary said," Dr. Krauthammer said.

"This is not discretion," he said. "Discretion is when you treat it on a one-by-one basis on the grounds of extenuating circumstances. This is the declaration of a whole new set of criteria, which is essentially resurrecting the legislation that the Congress has said no to."

“And I think this is not how you run a constitutional Republic. This ought to be in the hands of Congress, and it is an end-run. What's ironic of course is for eight years, the Democrats have been screaming about the imperial presidency with the Bush administration, the nonsense about the unitary executive. This is out-and-out lawlessness. This is not how you govern. And I think that's the first issue that should be on the table," Krauthammer concluded.

Everyday I despise this clown more. I cannot fathom how anyone supports him.

I disagree with him on this issue. He maybe pandering, but it's not to the far left.

Surprised ....................He's pandering to Hispanics and its pathetic.

Correct and Romney is pandering to the GOP Billionaires club when he agreed that corperations are people. Pathetic indeed.

I don't believe any of us on the Right are particularly opposed to the policy, except for it being limited, unconstitutionally, to a specific age group.  What we oppose, as Obumbler claimed just a year a go he did, is doing it by Presidential Edict.  That is not Constitutional; it is dictatorial, which you, if you had any real principles, would oppose as well.

Romney doesn't need to speak to the issue; it is self-explanatory and, if he doesn't undo it or seek Congressional approval, he will be acting unconstitutionally and we on the Right will oppose him on it - because we have principles.

Again, Krauthammer nails it.

Krauthammer: Obama's Immigration Policy Is "Out-And-Out Lawlessness"

"Beyond the pandering, beyond the politics, beyond the process is simple constitutional decency. This is out-and-out lawlessness. Everyday I love Obama more and more. What did you think, politics doesn't count? Anything Romeny does is political but not fair for Obama? And Krauthammer is just ticked off because Obama made a great move. By the way, Obama was way ahead of Romney with Hispanics, how did this become political?

Krauthammer is the most intelligent, the most honest and the bravest man in Washington, DC.  He's hardly "far right" by any stretch of the imagination of anyone, except obvious Looney Leftists and hypocrites like Dumbunseed.

Pray tell, why is he the bravest?

Krauthammer is NOT by ANY stretch far right! The man is brilliant, he tells it like it is even when I dont agree with him. He is exactly right on this issue and the video of the clown a yr ago proves it.

Brilliant? Bwahahahahhahahah
