Dude has 9 wins, tied for 2nd in all of MLB. While his peripherals aren't as impressive as a lot of other guys (4.32 ERA), the wins are there and the guy is a winner. I think if he notches his 10th victory he should be a shoe in with 10+ wins by the break. Right now he's easily the best #5 pitcher in all of baseball!

It depends on what pitchers are being considered. No doubt Ivan Nova has been solid as of late but who knows if the decision makers look past his numbers (aside from the win/loss column). It would be nice to see Nova be on the All-Star team but in the same token, I'd also like Nova to get some rest for the second half of the season.

If he's on the bubble and being a Yankee he won't make it..

I also would rather see our players get the rest, especially our older players, Jeter and Cano are most likely the only players to make it.. In saying that as much as I like to see our players in the AS game, Mr. Jeter needs some time off ... Being the Icon Jeter is you can bet he'll be there...

No bigger Nova fan than I.  But he's not an all star this year.

It depends on how Nova is looked at. If you look at his numbers as a whole, then no, he doesnt serve to go. If you look at Nova over the last month, then yes he could very well go. He has been lights out over the last 3 starts and lowered his ERA 1.3 runs in the last month.

Getting rest is priority. As Jeter is deserving..I voted for Jeter but had mixed feelings doing so. He really needs the rest. Additionally when elected if he doesn't make an appearance media will be trashing him.

Always proud to be a Yankee fan.

Nova is very hot right now, like someone else said he has lowered his ERA by like a run and a half. If he can get his ERA below 4 with his next couple starts, I think he should be an All Star no question. Nova has awesome stuff so why he was getting hit so hard for a while there was beyond me. Imagine if Cashman gave in and traded Nova to Seattle with Montero instead of Noesi? Ugh.

If his going to the All Star Game was up to me, I would vote NO.

That's because I want to keep him "hungry" (figuratively speaking).

I think if I had to choose, I'd want every Yankee not to be in the All-Star game and want them resting and preparing for the second half of the season. If our team was full of young guys, especially position players and weren't in NY on a contending team, I might have a different mind-set. I think this team needs the rest but I agree that MLB will want Derek Jeter there. Maybe Jeter will take some heat from the media but let's be honest here, even if Jeter came out juggling bowling pins that were lit on fire while riding a uni-cycle wouldn't make the media and the fans of other teams think of the Yankees any better. They'll still be that overpaid team that plays in New York that has 27 World Championships and that's fine by me.
