You know how much I love the Yankees, but so far this year I have to say they are not fun to watch. The HR's get boring after awhile. They never manufacture a run. I really miss Gardner and Nunez. At least they added some excitement

Absolutely the truth from my perspective as well. While winning is never boring this offense is not put together well and good pitching will shut this team down come playoff time.

I'm still left to wonder what this offense would look like with Montero. I know the spin eminating from the Yankee front office was there wasn't a place for him , we see chickens coming home to roost right now and in future seasons having a black hole in the cleanup spot instead of a young dynamic CHEAP bat.

The winning streak covered up a ton of flaws that this team had, but those flaws don't get addressed until the team stops winning. Bringing up a major issue while the team is playing well will get you a lot of enemies here, but it still needs to be discussed. We are starting to see the kind of team we really have once the pitching comes back down to Earth, and it's a broken product.

That would be true if you weren't singing the same tune for the last 6 years AJ. All you ever have seen is a broken product.

The nastiness around here is getting old ... and the clique talk is getting old also ... no one is a part of a clique ... people either agree or disagree ... sometimes certain personalities agree more often ... doesn't make anybody a clique ... just makes them more likely to agree with each other because they share personality traits.

ok...the origin of the species.  Once upon a time there was this stale fart poster that nobody liked.  Some people on the board met this poster at a ballgame but apparently they couldn't help him with his many problems...there were several misunderstandings.  Just meeting this person is a misunderstanding.  This was played out in the Yankee forum as well as the OT forum.  The back and forth went on for months...I was not involved with this bs in any way.  Unexpectedly this sad person left the board two years ago and nobody gave a shyte.

Recently the stale fart has re-entered the room but this time he was on a mission.  The mission was to tell us how messed up the Yes board was...this went on for a couple of weeks until the Yes mod tapped the dull poster's brakes.  When You and Art briefly left the board....the low IQ poster started several rants about the two persons named and the concept of cliques emerged.  I told him to wait until the two persons came back...so that they could defend themselves.  Most of the comments were directed at Art.  Now that Art is back, the attack isn't as direct but cliques is mentioned.  There are no cliques here.  Most people here have lives and while we may disagree from time to time...we get over it and move on.

Unfortunately for us...this SFP doesn't have much of a life....bringing down the board has taken on an major aspect of his life.  It's all he's got and unfortunately for many, is not likely to go away...the learning process will not work here...perhaps the synapsis  have been fried a very long time ago...capiche?

Even the best teams have things that can be improved. Some are more insignificant than others, but this team's hitting with RISP is a major issue. When the losing streak was only two games old, the Pollyanna YES team was already mentioning how big of a problem it was. I have seldom made a post complaining about something on this team that was completely unfounded. I'm ashamed that you would level that kind of accusation towards me, new. Cool

I still would like to see them put together a 5 or 6 hit 4/5 run inning without the benefit of a Home Run once in awhile

Not gonna happen. The Yankees management understands that home runs are like fireworks: they appease the masses. They are also very good at disguising a lack of clutch hitting by scoring multiple runs in one swing. It's not a long-term solution, but if they win tonight it will keep the natives from getting too restless for the next couple of games.
