Cano is going to be a future Hall of Famer, so I wouldn't let him go, but Granderson is expendable. If he wants more than $15 million/year, I say let him walk and bring up a young stud from AAA like Mustelier. I'd also find a replacement for Swisher; they got what they needed out of him a few years ago and it's time to move on. As far as the batting order goes, Granderson's K's often kill rallies. If one of the #9 hitters and Jeter both get on base to start an inning, the last thing you want is a strikeout. I'd move him down to 3rd or 4th.

27 is young for a prosect now?

He's young when you compare him to most of the players on the Yankees. I'd call him up this season to replace Jones; he's hitting .330.

Replace Jones sure let go of Swisher or Granderson for ?? Hell no.

What the heck do you guys even know about this Mustelier guy who is a career minor leaguer. I never heard of him 'til about 2 weeks ago and I'll bet my left testy that all of you guys screaming for him never heard of him before that either. Anyone here aside from Big ever seen him play? Like someone said, if he comes up and goes 0-8 some of you guys screaming for him will be calling him "overhyped." You guys are funny sometime

I do like his bat, but let's just say he's defensively challenged in leftfield and leave it at that.

He totally misjudged that ball in the 8th inning too. Fortunately it didn't lead to a run. Andruw saved his ass on that one.

You're right 61. I forgot about that one and we were lucky that didn't let in another run, though it wouldn't have mattered anyways. I don't know what is going on with Swisher defensively lately.

The Yanks will probably stick with Jones because of his defensive skills. From what I have read this Mustelier is a terrible defensive outfielder. Of course, probably only BigGuy knows that for sure.

Does he have any speed Big (base stealer?). I don't care if they bring him up, I just don't expect much

Not in love with Mustelier's defense in leftfield, although I did see him throw out a couple runners so his arm can't be too bad.

I doubt they'd replace Jones anyway with the money they're paying him.  I think they're just hoping he'll have a great 2nd half like he did last year, after he talked with his mother at the ASB. lol  Maybe he should call home now.  The troubling thing with Jones are his splits are the reverse of what they should be,  and he's striking out like Newinn at a singles bar. Smile

I wouldn't consider him a base stealer.  The guy's built like Kirby Puckett.  He's fast enough to play the outfield, but he doesn't have base stealer speed that I've seen.  His bat is lively though, and he's got a little pop.  The one move that I should have been made already was replacing Wise with Dickerson.  Dickerson's an upgrade and plays all 3 outfield spots too.  Losing Wise wouldn't upset anybody.
