Instead of ripping your hair out over the RISP problems we had or Andy giving up five runs or us not being able to rally back in the ninth, you could instead be dealing with a close friend of 20 plus years who just made the dumbest choice of his life.

And by choice,I mean Jim Leyritz choice. It's a #@! game folks. Like the Sandusky verdict tonight showed, there are far worse things happening than a stupid three game losing streak.

Taking a break for the next couple of days. There is NOTHING more frustasting and painful then to know you did everything you could to stop someone from their habit of drinking and driving and knowing it still wasn't enough.

Well at least Yankees proved Collins wrong.  He said Citifield is not Yankees Staduim where cheapies are routinely hit out of the bandbox.  From what we saw last night, our Yankees did quite well in the home run department.  I didn't see any "cheapies" last night especially A-Rod drilling one in the deepest part of Citifields.   What Collins don't acknowledge, our guys hit more HR in away games and no staduim hold our Yankees back.

By all accounts the "cheapies" he's referring to is the one hit by his guy Davis.

It's just unfortuate Pettitte had a bad inning prior to settling down in pitching well. If the plan is to win series, Sabathia cannot afford to do this with Dickey on the mound. Yesterday's game is old news time to look forward to Nova giving us a great game for a win.

Always proud to be a Yankee fan.

I think we all "escape" to baseball because we can't change some bad things that happen in the real world. Dealing with people who appear  to be fine, intelligent and even talented and then do something really damaging is the worst. It is harder to understand than dealing with a more obvious injury or illness.

Don't stop your efforts. You might not have stopped someone from doing something stupid this week, but had many successes in the past that you are not aware of. Every night that you stop someone from drivng impaired, betting too much or otherwise doing something stupid is a win in itself. You lost one. In that way, it is a lot like baseball. You fail more often that you succeed, it is a very long struggle and you just have to keep working.

if anyone is taking this too seriously it's you. You're making it sound like people are going out and shooting kittens out of potato guns because the yankees are hitting .200 w risp.

I draw the line at shooting hamsters out of potato guns.  With Kittens it's just cruel.

You always start these threads as if everyone on the boards went nuts after this game. You seem to be the only person who's making a big deal out of it.

I went nuts. And I'll remain nuts until we get a win. In cranky and I know it.  Fire away if you must.

But it goes without saying that drunk driving and death and child molestation is definitely worse.

I'm like you loon, it seems like it's been forever since we won a game.. I know we won ten in a row, but I can't stand to lose and it seems like we haven't won a game in a month now...

So many things go your way when your winning and so many go against you when you lose, no breaks, no clutch hits, pitchers are pitching terrible, but it's really only a couple games, I hope we can put a stop to it tonight.. Go Yankees, Go !!!

It's on Fox and we will be 11-3 in our last 14 games after tonight. By the way there is only one other team that has not had a 4 game losing streak beside the Yankees
