Hiroki Kuroda walked off to a standing ovation tonight. He delivered seven strong innings, pitching the Yankees to a 7-1 win against the Indians at Yankee Stadium. Kuroda was charged with one run, and that run scored only after he left the game in the eighth. Robinson Cano and Dewayne Wise each had three RBI, with Cano’s coming on a solo homer and a two-run double, and Wise’s coming on a two-run homer and an RBI triple. Cano and Nick Swisher hit back-to-back home runs in the third inning. Wise had homered and tripled in a big league game once before — also at Yankee Stadium.
