Hey Stripes, a little more adversity may bring them closer together and toughen them a bit.
How you been pal?

A broken fibula bone is the best bone in the human body to break.. Dr's call is a none weight bearing bone and it heals much faster then any other broken bone.. I know I broke mine and in a matter of two to three weeks he will be able to start to do things that you would never do with any other broken bones in ones leg.. I could see him back in August if there are no complications...

Despite losing two starters in one day, Girardi and Cashman remained cool in face of chaos: yesnet.me/OyH7kN

The Yankees will take the injuries in stride.... Mariano, Pettitte, and CC can all rehab together.

Talk about who is not reacting well, it's me. After hearing the news via Sterling at work, you bet it upset me. I was so looking forward to a season of Andy Pettitte.  I just hope he can recoup from his situation to participate in Post Season baseball (an assumption on my part).  Anytime you lose two top of the rotation pitcher, there is concern.

Our offense need to deliver more runs to make up the difference.  Additionally it's an opportunity for Warren/Phelps to play in the Bigs as Garcia gets another chance to start. Lets hope Warren, Phelps, and Garcia provide good stuff so Cashman doesn't have to get bleed during mid season trades.  It's time to put aside my concerns and see what comes ahead....I don't have any choice anyway.....Undecided

Always proud to be a Yankee fan.

I'm hoping they can go 5-5 over their next 10 games. Try and take 3 of 4 from the White Sox, then go 2-4 against Tampa and Boston. Win 1 game in both of those series and you avoid either team picking up much ground.

By the time Andy goes thru all the rehab and then plays some rehab games it will be closer to mid-Sept until he gets back to NY.  I agree with Qwik, just hang in there until after the all star break until CC gets back.  Luckily they caught his injury before he blew that out.

I said the same thing to my wife when I read this.  Six weeks and then he'll start to re-hab it.  It'll be September I think.

Yes..  because this team plays .500 baseball right?  Are you actually trying to put a positive face on your dickishness here?

Why would you think theyd only play 500 ball AJ?  TB and boston arent actually tearing up the league are they?
