After sim game, Gardner is sore...not good

Brett Gardner came into the Tampa, Fla. training complex today feeling a little sore and was given the day off, Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. Girardi said that the soreness is “a concern” and called Gardner’s repeated troubles with his right elbow “puzzling.” Another setback could knock Gardner out for the season. He hasn’t played in a Major League game since April 17. Jack Curry ‏@JackCurryYES Girardi said Gardner "came up sore" today and won't play in rehab game. Girardi said it is a concern and also called it puzzling. Bryan Hoch ‏@BryanHoch Brett Gardner came up sore today and is being given the day off. Girardi says it's a concern. This situation hasn't looked good since Gardner's last setback. It sure seems that something is definitely wrong, and more than just some inflammation. Or, he just needs to suck it up and play!

James52 Posts: 1,097	If I'm the Yankees I would call Gardner's season done. I mean, the guy is having a lot of setbacks creating more and more concerns. Yankees need to look for outfield help badly in this 2 weeks left. I don't believe Gardner is coming this year and clearly we cant have Wise 'till the rest of the season.
