A "professional" should never let fans get to him and make rude gestures.

Yea,Gardner is such a sissy he kept trying to come back on his injured elbow and play through it. As for Melky,I'll say again what I said before,he showed none of this talent while in NY nor while in Atlanta and as Larry Bowa said on MLB tonight, when Melky was with the Yankees and the Braves,he didn't take his job seriously enough. It's nice to see him as the player he is now but it took him getting traded and being cut by two teams for him to wake up and start playing like that.

And for those saying the Yanks or Braves should have waited for him to mature,sorry,20-25 year olds aren't children anymore. Melky had his chances with the Yanks and blew it because he care mored about partying than staying in the best baseball shape he could.

LMAO!!!! He tried to play through it? I distinctly remember him getting "shut down" again several times when he was a game away from returning to the team because his elbow was a little too sore for his liking. He sure doesn't seem like the kind of tough player you imagine him to be.

The Yankees need to bring Melky back to the Bronx. They'll have a spot open next season when Swisher leaves, and the way this team works, they won't be signing an outfielder who is any good until the offseason. Even if he only hits a measly .300 next year, that would be outstanding production from him and the Yankee lineup would be unmatched.

Burying your argument with the facts.

Braves fans get what they deserve. There is no such thing as being too rude to them. They can put their tomahawk chop up their ass along with Chipper, but I doubt that his head would fit.

I second that!

Chas can you please move this thread to the thrice removed Yankees and how they're behaving in an irrelevant division within an irrelevant league?

Just move it to the TSA thread. Laughing

I enjoyed beating the Braves in 96 and 99. Put that stupid tomahawk thing to rest. Pity they had to win in 1995,they could have been the Buffalo Bills of Baseball.

Maybe players should be more like Melky rather than just  suck it in like Cano did and let it destroy your game.    Letting Fans know they are being Jerks is fine with me.

Destroy his game?  When?  In the HR derby?  I like Melky, but let's not pretend that Cano needs to learn anything from him.  Melky is having a nice year.  Cano is on a HOF trajectory.

I agree 100%.   Cano  is a player that is an absolute joy to watch.   Such a natural.       Yes, and it was the KC Fans that  destroyed Cano's  HR derby and  his game.   It was unbelievable that  fans would treat a young player like they did.    Not comparing the 2 skills levels  of the 2 at all.
