and they'll remain so throughout the next few years. it's due to giving up on young players and trading them for 30 something big names and guys with big names and huge contracts. lack of patience and a shallow strategy. our stars are second tier (other than cano) and cost more than other teams first rate stars

I love psychic posts.  All the information and I don't have to pay $4.99/minute.

On a more serious note, we arent an avg team. There's weaknesses there, that are being exploited due to injuries. Tweaks necessary? Uh huh! Toss the baby out withthe bath water? Nope!

You are the biggest "Negative Nelly" I have seen on the boards. I would think you are more suited for being a Metroploitan fan than a Yankee fan.

You probably are. You need to eat a better balanced diet and stay off the meth.

FatGiambi is the Goth Fan of these boards.

Right now, some of those 30 somethings (Chavez, particularly) and even 40 somethings (Ibanez) are carrying the team.  Those are the guys performing above expectations and carrying more than their share.  If some of your beloved "20-somethings" would play to their potential or stop getting injured (or start developing) maybe we'd be in better shape.  It's the younger guys (Nova, Banuelos, Betances, Pineda, Romine, Gardner, etc.) who have either been big disappointments or who have contributed absolutely NOTHING to the cause this year due to either injury or lack of development.

Are you blaming the organization? Because you shouldn't. BLAME the FANS.  Blame all the George Steinbrenner "wannabees" who demand these type of players to don Yankee Pinstripes.

My gosh, people should be on their knees and kissing Hal's and Cashman's feet because they've have always been giving the fans what they want even against their better judgment.

Average team?? ummmmmmmm nope!.

Average teams don't have 63 wins and 46 loses in this part of the season. they are on par but do need to make changes ASAP.

Joe needs to pull his head out of the dark spot he likes to bury it in and see that the batting order is not WORKING. he also need to give the younger players more time to find themselves and be better ball players.

that's my 2 cents worth

and FatGiambi, please take a bottle or 2 of exlax and a case of vodka and just chill a little
