Why did Girardi take out CC from his start on Wednesday in a "panic move" "way too soon"?

From LoHud Blog:
"That elbow pain is part of the reason Girardi held Sabathia to less than 100 pitches in Detroit, but Sabathia again felt some soreness after that start.

This stuff is why I roll my eyes so frequently when people start posting "Girardi is an idiot" threads. The actual team manager has so much more information about the players and the circumstances surrounding each of the players than we fans do, it's absurd.

You guys are way off base. Some posters on this board are infinitely more knowledgeable about baseball than Girardi, Pena, Long, Rothchild, Thompson ....  And while Girardi relies on all of these so called baseball minds to help make decisions, he is foolish because he would be wiser to ask the advice of Vinnie from Queens or some other sports fan living in his moms basement.

I guess we should just shut this forum down then. Why bother commenting about something that we know nothing about?

No, but how about a little less certainty in the pronouncements about Girardi?

Its just part of being a fan and getting involved in the game. Calling something a "blunder" isn't exactly a scathing attack. I've yelled at the TV many times questioning why Girardi would make a certain move. Sometimes you just "know" that a certain move is wrong from the beginning.

61, I don't think anyone is saying you cannot call a move a blunder.  But we have seen, countless times, posters use idiot, ****, stupid, ****, and also many others that either had to be misspelled to get passed the censors or ****.  Thats the kind of discussion points made by grade school kids
