Hard to believe that power is still out going on 10 days in a state like NJ, in a country like the USA.

That's what happens when power companies lay off employees, Craner. You got guys from 1000 miles away coming to NJ to fix the problems, and you expect it to be done in a snap??

When Katrina wiped our @ss out, my power was out for a month.

kinda sad that those guys from Texas showed up but were not allowed to help because they weren't union...  I guess back east union > human life

That has become an interesting story, they never actually got past Virginia, turned around and went home.  They said it was because they were told they couldn't work because they were non union, but they can't say who told them that.  I get the feeling you had a group of guys that really weren't looking forward to a week or so of double shifts, and figured we will just tell everyone this story and go home.

hey if you're in Illinois I think you could vote twice and take care of both of your positions...  you're not considered patriotic unless you vote multiple times in that state, just hide your ballot; if a union thug sees your votes you'll need dental work tomorrow (which could be a mess if we're still stuck with Obamacare)

It's Obama's fault.

Yeah, there is no reason, because fixing sub stations, transformers, clearing debris and trees, repairing power lines, etc, is all easy work that anyone could do.  Maybe they should have all the people on welfare get right on it!!!
