Although Soriano rejected qualifying offer, he likes to remain with the Yankees.

Swisher and Soriano have rejected the Yankees' qualifying offers. Kuroda hasn't yet, though he's expected to turn it down.

Cashman expects Kuroda to decline offer

Brian Cashman said he has not heard officially, but based on his conversations with the agents for Hiroki Kuroda, Nick Swisher and Rafael Soriano, he expects all three to decline their qualifying offers. Scott Boras has made it clear to Cashman that Soriano will decline.

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. -- Yankees closer Rafael Soriano rejected the club's $13.3 million qualifying offer by Friday's deadline, but the sides are continuing to talk.

Soriano is believed to prefer staying with the Yankees.

All-time great closer Mariano Rivera has told the Yankees he's coming back, but the Yankees would like to have both closers.

It goes without saying, the Yankees need Kuroda.

Armed with the skill to throw these pitches....

... and compiled a 16 win season with a 3.32 ERA and a 1.165 WHIP, as a NEW YORK YANKEE...this man knows how to pitch without overthrowing.

I could see him going back to the Dodgers to be with his wife and children.

Always proud to be a Yankee fan.
