It's not mythical ... it's real ... there has been a war on Christmas for a long time ... but I would probably re-word it ... it's a war against the belief in Christ ... more and more people are challenging others' rights to their religious beliefs and their free expression of them.

I guess I see this issue both ways.  We live in a society where people are taught to be socially sensitive and self concious of how they treat others, and it is just a natural conclusion that Holidays would eventually become an issue.  It doesn't really bother me, Holidays, Religion, Faith, aren't about what everyone else thinks, celebrates, or observes,  it is about what You think and feel about those things.  If I offend someone by wishing them a merry christmas, than too bad.  If they don't want a Christmas tree in a public school, that is okay.

Practically every Major religion recognizes Christ as (at least) a prophet (Even Islam).

Typical con.  It is ok for a con to judge a liberal, but not the

other way around.

Oh yes, I will judge cons and be arrogant as heck about it.

I agree Mo. As I mentioned onetime on here to Craner. There's always some sort of public insult towards Christians around Easter and Christmas.

It works both ways.....expressing that you don't believe in christ IS expersssing religous beliefs.  And it is not an attack on anything anymore that expressing a belief in christmas is an attack.  It works both ways indeed.  If you have a right to express belief then there is an equal right to express non belief.

So if there is a war on christmas then there is also a war on non believers.

The majority of the Christian community doesn't go out of their way to publicly attack non believers.

According to Christians...Muslims are non believers and I seem to recall an uproar over a mosque in NY.  And even if Muslims are not indeed deemed non believers, their "right" to express religion in the way they want was, according to your logic, publicly attacked.

The problem isn't that christians want to express their religion, its that they cry victim anytime someone who isn't a christian expresses theirs.

Wrong. Muslims believe in the same God. Jesus is also mentioned in the Koran.

By who? Are all those protesters Christians? Since when are those protests Church approved?

That's pure BS! There's no public war by Christians towards Islam or Judaism. Atheists on the other hand will do something insulting, tasteless, and try to pass it off as art.
