Same as ever: the knowledgable and appreciative fans in the crowd will applaud while the juvenile idiot-types who boo their own team will give him a hard time.

I would never boo him as a Yankee but I don't think I could applaud him in a Red Sox uniform.  Foot in Mouth

I can't see why Yankee fans wouldn't applaud him his first AB back at Yankee Stadium, it's not like he got greedy and left the Yankees for more money.

if swish does sign with the redsox I'm sure he'd get a nice hand his first AB back at the mall at yankee stadium.

Swisher's regular season numbers weren't even good and were helped by the fact that he was playing for the Yankees.  Let someone else have him.

Like BG I was never a huge Swisher fan, but I would see no reason to boo him.. Players are playing for a job/business, it's as simple as that.. Owners/management have made it a business why shouldn't players do the same ??  The Yankees have a number in mind they want to get to by 2014 and that's one of the main reasons Swisher will not be with the Yankees next year..  I don't think Swisher is a player that can't be replaced, it's just that right now for next year the options are thin.. Get a player that makes a little better contact and hits for a little higher average and Mr. Swisher will be forgotten about in a short time..
