So, how much of that silly beard would Youk have to shave off if he came to the Yanks?

I am already having anxiety attacks (just kidding). I never liked Youk, although I have to admit he was an outstanding player he gave it all to the BoSox and then unceremoniously they sent  him to the White Sox. If he comes to the Yanks he will be the ugliest player on the roster. Boston always seem to have ugly and unruly players. I wonder  if he dons the pinstripes are the BoSox fans going to give him a standing ovation? they should. Matsui got  standing ovations every time he returned to the Bronx. Then again, Yanks have class, the Red Sox crass.

I don´t think Yanks will take Young because of his personal issues, but boy! what an addition that could be.

What personal issues with Young? I never heard of any.

Youk's postseason numbers: .306/.376/.568

I think the Yankees could have used some of that a couple of months ago.

The last time Youk was in the playoff's 2009 he was 1 for 12.

Yes in 2008 and 2007 he hit well   .292  and .388

That was a long time ago.

And now his body is breaking down.... hmmm!

12 mil for another broken 3rd baseman.... I think I'm going to PUKE!

You guys don't like players that get on base?? Youkilis is a great hitter I don't care if he had a bad year in 2012, Yankees can afford to give him $12 million dollars were not the Cleveland Indians.

The guy hasn't hit out of the .230's for the last 3 years.  Of course he's better than nothing at all.

12M is lots to pay for someone"better than nothing" Meanwhile Yankees have other concerns that needs to be addressed.  Utilizing 12M for Youkilis reduce funds needed.

Thus my point about the 12 mil.

The fact that Youkilis hasn't given Yankees an answer is very telling.  I bet he's using Yankees' offer to up the ante in inking a better deal with Cleveland/Francona.   Going back to AL East and all it's drama is best avoided if he can use Yankees offer to push for a deal elsewhere.

Always proud to be a Yankee fan.

One thing about Youkalis that he has over Chavez and Keppinger is that he's...

A WINNER.

I don't know about you guys, but if the Yankees are needing a 2-run RBI in the 9th inning against the other team's closer, I would rather prefer a guy like Youkalis at the plate rather than Chavez or Keppinger.

I think that is probably true or he would have jumped at it.
