A few weeks before the election, the invaluable Rick Perlstein published a lengthy article in The Baffler titled "The Long Con," about how successful conservative entrepreneurs have been at separating the right-wing rank and file from their money over the past few decades. If you were to sign up for updates from the likes of Human Events or World Net Daily, you'd be inundated not only with come-ons from political groups but with innumerable offers for miracle cures for every ailment under the sun. "The strategic alliance of snake-oil vendors and conservative true believers points up evidence of another successful long march," Perlstein wrote, "of tactics designed to corral fleeceable multitudes all in one place—and the formation of a cast of mind that makes it hard for either them or us to discern where the ideological con ended and the money con began."

Bill Kristol's recent op-ed, which alleged that parts of American conservativism have become "a racket."

"You have a lot of people running around, saying harsh things that sell books and push ratings and lose elections," he said on Monday. “Conservatism is a racket for a lot of people to get very, very rich. With no thought of winning elections."

You pounce on those you disagree with for doing all the things that are modus operandi for everything you support or are active in.  making the obligatory union petition signing has placed me on the Move On email list.  I have not blocked it because I enjoy reading the utter nonsense that is sent to me daily to sign and donate to.  Bill Kristol may be upset that many traditional Republican voters want more intellectually pure candidates with solutions that the public is not prepared to accept but that's his problem.

Conobots ignore reality to hang on to their failed philosophy of

of plutocracy, where a few prosper at the expense of the many.

How would Bolton know Clinton was faking it? His own wife has been faking it for years and he is too obtuse to realize that.
