The NJD never get any respect. Sometimes I think that the media that covers the NHL forgets how close the NJD came to winning the Stanley Cup last season. They also have the best GM in the game.

Lou is a tremendous GM Max!  Before I went into biz for myself, the Devs were a client of mine. I mostly dealt with the VP Finance but now and then,, with Lou. He's a real nice guy, is a tell it like it is business person, who I liked and respected greatly. I think its those qualities that have helped him succeed with building winners in much the same environment that we are seeing Cash have to operate under with the Yankees this year. Its good to hear from fans of other teams that they respect the Devs. You wont hear that from Ranger fans.

Lou is a paisano so I'm not surprised that he's a nice guy. lol If I bought an NHL team Lou is the first guy I would try to hire. I always knew he was smart but I remember watching the NHL draft and the Isles passed on Parise. I couldn't believe it. I heard he had talent plus his dad played for the Isles. I said to myself oh well maybe he's not that good, the scouts must know best. Anyway, with in seconds Lou traded for the following pick. I knew right then and there that he was going to pick Parise and that the Isles screwed up again.
