Nunez at DH makes alot of sense really. That and if he has success with the bat it might take some of the stress off him when he does play in the field. Seems like thinks to much about throwing to first instead of just doing it. Alot like another past Yankee actually.

Be it Nunez or someone else, I think they will get a lot of time at SS this year. Heck Girardi is already talking about Dhing Jeter against lefties. Nunez does have a live bat. Hope he can get over those throwing woes. He has terrible footwork on his throws

I think we all pretty much agree its not Nunez' bat thats the issue. If he could only get his D to be a bit better than lousey, he'd be a decent contributor.

Yes indeed. SS is such a bad place to have a bad defensive guy

Nunez is definitely going to get his chances at DH this season. We all know he can hit, the Yankees know he can hit. It will be interesting to see what he can do with 450 ABs in the season, if he's productive enough to get that many.

Nunez outside of an aggresive approach at the plate has shown very little in his career. Sub .700 OPS in minors and majors combined at age 25, yet everyone feels he can hit. Numbers dont lie, the guy is trash and his stick is only passable up the middle where he can't field to save his life.

Let's Go Yankees!!!!!!
