I don't get this:

www.nydailynews.com/sports/i-team/source...

The scuttlebutt that was being thrown around in the media a week or so ago was that it looked like A-Rod might get a 50 game suspension for his PED use with another 50 thrown in because he lied to MLB about his involvement with Biogenesis. Now the reports are that A-Rod is looking to cut a deal for a 150 game suspension. The only thing I can think of that makes sense about this is that MLB has some real dirt on him, and came at him with either a much longer suspension or maybe a lifetime ban, so he's looking to settle to get out from under that. If, and it's a big it, any of this is true.

If this "deal" comes through, the Yanks should find a way to get rid of A-Rod. He's just not Yankees material, and I don't care if he comes back from this 150 game suspension all healed and ready to hit .350.

Of course, if the Yanks kept him, I'm sure Hal is thinking of all the media attention A-Rod would get when he comes back, and that would have to translate to more $$$ for the organization. But to me, it's not worth it. Why burn a team's reputation on that?

If A-Rod gets 150 game suspension you will not see him back in baseball.. That many games will take him almost through two seasons, and being away from the game that long at his age will be the end of his career.. We all should hope this comes true...

We can't void the remainder of hIs guaranteed contract and would have to eat more than some team' salaries to trade him if he agrees to leave.  The Yankees are already tarnished by Knoblauch, Sheffield, Giambi, Rodriguez, Clemens, Pettitte, Montero, Cabrera, etc.  The good news is that every team has their own misfits as well.  The bes thing to do is take whatever Rodriguez gives us as gravy and never ink a deal like that again.

I don't know YOF, if l had a team on the hok for what he has the Yankees for l would show up everyday and never do anything to jeopardize it.  A 150 game suspension brings him back at the ASB next year.

Lifer it could be Bud's ties to the Brewers.  I know his family doesn't have them anymore but Selig cherry picked every organizational change of hands during his entire tenure.

I've been saying he isn't Yankee material since 2004 but now people are coming around.

It looks like MLB really does have some hard evidence. I wonder what A-Rod really did where 150 games is a good deal? If he was looking at a lifetime ban he must have dealing the stuff to other players.

150 game suspension will take him past the ASB next year, he hasn't played a game this year yet and God knows when he will be ready to play, I say if he gets that many games taken away from him we won't see A-Rod again.. Too long to be away from the game at his age, this is not little league softball he's trying to play.. Totally not sure he'll come back and help if he  comes back this year ??

It's definitely interesting.  Melky creating a fake supplement company to feign innocence last year didn't even get that kind of response.  I have to believe this is hype and not nearly as bad s they are reporting.  This will just be more egg on Selig's face to end his miserable tenure.
