I realize its just the first part of a negotiation, but that is a crazy number.
anything longer than 5 years is a big mistake.
I find links saying Buster only tweeted it but his twitter doesnt show it....
I'm not believing that number for a second.
I feel as if thats where his mind is, then he will be on the market and will have a 50% of being gone.
I think we can find 2 guys that can hit 25 homers and 100rbi for cheaper than that. He is good, but not that good.
Once agian, I realize that this is just the opening of a negotiation, so cano will shoot for the stars, but I guess being reasonable is out of the question.
I'm calling it ****......
Sorry, Robbie, the answer is "NO". You simply aren't worth that kind of coin. nc

I'm calling bs too. Did anyone actually hear him say this or was this just an alleged tweet that went out?
So what did Cano do...right after the game call Buster and told him what his asking price is?
These media people really have to become more responsible, otherwise they're going to lose any credibility they have left.
sadly, I think Cano's agent ralizing we were done leaked this out to get the ball rolling.
I would not be shocked if the yanks did not resign him. Maybe the dodgers do go crazy. Fishy that thay had a deal for that other kids and then took it off the table.
