Trenton improves to 2-0. Has outscored their opponent by a combined 24-5.

Both Trenton and SWB are just good to keep tabs on. Cave's suprising so far; Bird's bound to come around as is Austin. More interesting to watch than the so-called "Big" club. You and BG deserve our thanks for keeping us apprised.

I was at the SWB game today. Refnsyder had a double and single. He was involved in turning 3 or 4 double plays. The error was on an in between hop that he didn't play right and led directly to Syracuse tying and going ahead. Heathcott had a beautiful bunt single, and threw a runner out at the plate in Syracuse comeback inning or the damage could have been worse. Austin almost hit one out to deep left early. Lindgren got the final out in the 6th, pitched a scoreless 7th and started the 8th. He was starting to tire and Refsnyder's error didn't help matters. Jose Ramirez came in but did not do a good job allowing a couple of Lindgren's inherited runners to score. With scheduled starter Matt Tracy called up to NY, Dan Burawa a reliever got the start and pitched 2 scoreless innings. Eric Wooten followed and pitched very well for almost 4 innings before Lindgren relieved him in the 6th.

I mentioned in another thread questioning if trading for Wilson necessary when we have Lindgren here. I'm much rather have Cervelli backing up McCann then Romine or Murphy. They haven't come close to throwing a runner out this year. When he played Cervelli was decent.

Id rather be watching Scranton and Trenton over these stiffs. All year they have only had the lead for a half inning.

What's wrong with a minor league thread here? I kinda like the idea. This is a lot like the off season thread. Keep it here!!!

Scranto comes to Syracuse next weekend. I have obligations everyday except Sunday. I'm going to try to make that game. They don't make it back to Syr. until Sept...

They should try to flip him for a decent hitter.

I'll move this thread over to the Minor League forum if that's what everyone wants... I thought with the way the big league season is going that a lot of people would be interested in our minor league teams.

I also was going to try and edit the title to be "Minor League Updates" but I couldn't figure out how.

Thanks for the insight. I figured with Ramirez designated with a "BS" in the box score that he had allowed inherited runners to score. Wins and losses as you know aren't a big deal. With Trenton raking and a few homegrown prospects at AAA I'm very excited for this season in the minors.
