God I hope he doesn't meet that 2017 option
With Sabathia's knees what are the chances of a left shoulder injury? He will meet it guaranteed so we have to make the best of a bad situation.

I'm hoping he just hangs it up instead of continuing to embarrass himself for another 3 years

Andrew Bailey was sent to extended spring training.
I'm rather disheartened about Pirela. He had his concussion on March 22nd. Then it was over a month before he played an extended spring training game on Wednesday. We hear nothing for 3 days before he goes to A ball. I am about to right him off as a Muestellier. If the Yankees are being cautious with him I have no idea why? The odds are against him being in the organization next year. This seems like now or never for a return on him.

Raise your hand if you'd rather watch Bryan Mitchell go 13-8 with a 4.23 era for the Yanks (my own estimate) than watch the CC-SHTSHOW this year?
I would be happy to give Sabathia's spot to Mitchell, send Justin Wilson to Scranton, and give CC his role out of the pen. Contracts and egos will dictate that can't happen. I thought Mitchell was more polished and had more upside than Greene.
I was saying all winter to use CC as a reliever.

Head injuries are different than other body parts...

I w I would love to see Bird/Judge hitting 3/4 by 2017 in NY.
Also Refsnyder has a rough start this year. 7 errors in 15 games is horrible.
His bat doesn't play as an outfielder so I hope he turns it around

As reported..... Game over, RailRiders win. 8-3 victory, gets them a split in the four-game set against Pawtucket and a winning homestand, 4-3.
