Severino and Betances for Cano and a journeyman middle reliever...  Plus extend Cano 5 years....  Do it Hank!

I sign off on this but only if we include Judge and Mateo in the deal. I don't want to disrepect Cano.

Here's my thoughts. The Yankees offered him more money but not a 10 year deal. He felt disrespected,La Tee Da. This is what he gave up. He could have been a lifetime Yankee, had his number retired and a plaque in Monument Park along with other Yankee greats. Evidently this meant nothing to him and had no value. Therefore he will be just a footnote in Yankee history.

I say let the Mariners have Cano.  That being said, I would also send Severino, Judge. Bird. and the rest of them to the Mariners for cash considerations. With all of them off the Yankees' backs, when they all become mega-superstars and start commanding fat salaries, they won't be our headaches anymore.  The Yankees might suck at that time, but they will be able to come in under the luxury tax cap!Tongue Out

If we could only find 8 more Stephen Drew's to fill the lineup we'd be on target for the cap and we'd have a great club house full of likeable guys.

Be sure to tune in to the next edition of Talking Yankees.  Guest appearances from Elton John, Canoera, and Pangy.  Hosted by the ever-popular Jinah, of course.  The show's name at that point will forever be changed to "Fruit and Nuts".  Enjoy, bruh!

Fortunately, players of that caliber are easy to find and acquire.
