Finally, a win! But they should not have coughed up 3 goals to the sub 500 Hurricanes. They need to stay focused. They might have lost that game if Ward wasn't so bad yesterday.

Nice play by Hayes jumping out of the penalty box to intercept that pass by Ward and put it on Brassard's blade. Nash made some great moves.

Too bad about Stepan breaking 2 ribs on that cheap shot (should have been a penalty) and missing the next 4-6 weeks. I just read that Klein strained a muscle in his abdomen and no word on how long he'll be out.

Rangers at FishSticks in Brooklyn:

Well this was one of those games that proves once again that this 3 on 3 OT skills competition along with this terrible shoot out does not belong in hockey. Two teams that gave it their all for 60 mins. deserved to have this game decided by the team, not some individual.

JT Miller was a stand out for the Rangers and really had an exceptional power forward game. But IMO this entire Ranger Team gave a full 60 min effort, played to win with energy and intensity only to lose in a crap shoot, shoot out. Where the Goalies have the advantage. The shoot out is not like a breakaway during a one on one. In the shoot out you have to abide by the rules of not stopping or slapping the puck more then once or getting the rebound. It's straight in moving, and taking a one time shot.

Except for when we had that 4 on 3 advantage in OT, where I don't think the Rangers did enough or put enough pressure on goal with more shots and traffic, I have nothing bad to say about this game or the Rangers. Disappointing, you bet, it's the F ing FishSticks, I never want to lose to them. Can't stand them or their A Hole Fans. I think this was one of the best all around games of the season for the Rangers, all 4 lines, the defense and Lundqvist. They lost in a shoot, out which is a crap shoot for both teams.

So Brooklyn gets there first sell out of the season, I wonder why. LGR

It's always something with this team. How do they go from 9 in a row to 3 and 6?

They better start finding the back of the net.

This team is starting to worry me quiz, and frustrate me, are they as good as we hoped they would be, or are they as bad as they are playing. Devils beat Carolina 5 to 1, and the Rangers almost lost to them. Now we play a team like Colorado and it looked like the team was still asleep. Seems teams have found out how to beat this AV System, but constant pressure in the Rangers zone with constant fore check, and the Rangers just don't seem to have an answer for it.

I don't know quiz, but this team has become a puzzle to me. And what the heck is going on with Kreider? he has been MIA most of the season. They better wake up fast, before everyone under them will be passing them bye.

I think you are correct about the oppositions relentless forechecking in the Ranger zone. They can't seem to find a way out but when they do they aren't getting the puck by the goalies lately anyway. They started so strong and now look so weak. Washington tied them for points with 3 fewer games.

I'm starting to worry also. Lundqvist isn't getting any younger and the time to strike is now.

As far as Kreider, I don't get it either. Big kid, power forward, moments of greatness yet invisible on the ice at times.

One Cup in 75 years for an original 6 team is pathetic.

Yeah, it seems like the Rangers have cooled off since Stepan and Klein got hurt.

Nice win last night. The capt. really stepped it up with his actions. The Rangers were forechecking and backchecking relentlessly all game. Lundqvist was solid and can't be blamed for that goal that bounced off Stall's stick.

The Rangers really shut down Ottawa in the 3rd.

Need a win tonight to climb back over the CAPS. ESPN's power rankings dropped them to 13th from 1st 2 weeks ago and their stats are heading the wrong way so it's time to start winning consistently again.

If they could just figure out how to skate for 60 minutes like they did in their last game they'll go far. If they continue to misplace their mojo it will just be another season fraught with shoulda, coulda and woulda's.

So far every team has slipped except for the Stars and it's a long season so I'm sure their turn is coming.

Don't forget, it's a 10:00 PM game tonight.

Another loss. The Rangers outplay Vancouver for the first two periods and can't get it done. They looked slow in the 3rd. Couldn't get in the O zone or sustain any pressure. The officiating was poor. Their scoring runs hot or cold.

I couldn't delete that pitiful game fast enough.

I hope NY shows up for the entire game against the Oilers tonight.
