Finally, a hockey game to watch tonight.

Rangers vs the Horned Ones who are surprising me and everyone else. They are a low scoring team but with Schneider in net they don't need a lot of goals.

This should be a low scoring, tight game but who knows.

Win one, lose one. These guys have to get on a winning streak. The Horned Ones, Pens and Islanders are trying to move up. Last night was a start.

Down 2 zip in the first 8 minutes was not a confidence booster. The Capt started the comeback and energized the Rangers when he pinched in. Nice pass by Brassard to elevate the puck over the defenders stick and have it land flat so JT Miller could bury it. Just like Nash did a while back.

Speaking of JT it took a few years but he appears to have found his game. He gets better and better. Good thing with Nash out. McIlrath will have to step up and fill Klien's skates. Stalberg looks better and I keep waiting for Lindberg to score some points.

Wow, Yandle, grabs the handle and lights the candle with 13 seconds left to tie it up! I jumped up so fast that I almost spilled my Blue Moon seasonal brewsky. Oh yeah, they won in the SO.

No word on McDonagh's injury after that cheap sucker punch to the jaw by Simmonds. The league is not going to discipline Wayne.

I like that McD is acting more Capt like. Maybe he reads these boards. Hahaha, not a chance, this forum is about as lively as a 2 AM Ben Carson standup comedy routine in an old age home. Anyway, he has a few breakaways, sparring with Simmonds, scores some goals and hits people. We need a Capt who can energize the team throughs words and actions.

What happened to the PP and PK? It was working fine than the bottom dropped out. Is Pearn back in charge? Special teams and 1 goal games are hurting the Rangers.

Horned Ones tommorow night. The Rangers have to find a way to beat these guys or should I say beat Schneider. He's keeping that low scoring team in it. And so is Stempniak, we let him go for lack of production and now he's leading the Devils in assists and points.

Tough loss last night againt the Kings. The Rangers came out timid and got pushed around in the 1st which let LA jump to a 2-0 lead. Then the Rangers woke up and started hitting back. LA tied it up with 30 seconds left. The Rangers were so close but got sloppy at the end which resulted in OT and a loss.

Special teams are killing NY. The Rangers are weak lately short handed. They also suck with the extra man and aren't the least bit scary 3 on 3. They did manage a PP goal last night but 3 out of the last 50 is pathetic and way past embarrassing.

I guess Henrik needed a rest but I'm surprised Raanta was in net. They have back to back games coming up next week and you's think that's when AV would start Raanta.

The good news is that Hayes and Stalberg are looking better and better and the Rangers are holding their own even though 2 top tier players are injured.

Anyone who didn't see this coming is probably not a true hockey fan. I, and everyone one else, especially Wayne, just knew there would be payback for the cheap shot Simmonds took at McDonagh's jaw last week. The only surprise is that it happened in the first minute of play...twice!

McIlrath and Simmonds dropped the gloves seconds into it. Then, seconds later, Glass and White square off. The fights were pretty even but the Rangers made the point.

You always knew when Simmonds had the puck. Every time he touched it the fans stared to loudly boo.

Brassard came through again. He's a quiet dude, like Nash. But he speaks, like Nash, loud and clear on the ice. Classic wrap around goal. Then Stepan adds two more for a 3-0 rout.

Well, almost. With less than 10 seconds left the Flyers get one by Henrik. They pulled their goalie plus the Rangers were shorthanded so I'm not too upset with a 6 on 4 goal but Lundqvist deserved the SO.

Bottom line is they got two more points and increased the distance between themselves and the other teams vying for a PO spot.

Oh yeah, anyone (which translates to the only other poster here, tonyg4) know why the Rangers wore their road sweaters at home? They do it every now and then.

What's up Ranger Fans, sorry but I have been away for awhile and had some problem with my PC at home. But I have been watching all the games. So lets catch up. It's been a roller coaster season. Ups and downs, but despite the Rangers playing inconsistent hockey most of the season, they still can control their own faith and take 2nd place is their division. Tonight's game against Montreal March 26th is huge, and then back to back against Cindy the punk and the Pens on Sunday. are both a  4 point game, especially that both the Pens and Islanders lost their games in hand on the Rangers.

I think the addition of Eric Staal is going to help this team, big time, especially in the playoffs and on the Power Play, it's just about getting use to his new teams style, head coach and linemates. One thing I am not happy about is the way AV is changing lines game after game, shift after shift. He says he is trying to get the right combinations. Well it's almost the end of the season, don't you think that should be established already. Let these guys play with the same line and get use to each other. I am really happy with the way Glass has been playing on the 4th line. His physical play and his hustle with the forecheck and back checking, along with dropping the gloves,  has put a spark on his line and his team. Girardi needs to get some bench time and wake the heck up. He has been terrilble, and one of our worst D men. I say bench him and play McILrath, and wake Girardi's A$$ up. Because he has been playing with his head up his A$$.

So lets go Rangers, Lets Kick some A$$ these next two games, and lets play a 60 min game, not a 20 min. game. You can't take the leads in the last period, and back up and play a prevent defense. The word is out in the NHL, put the pressure and physical play hard on the Rangers and they fall apart. You have a lead going into the 3rd period, go for the kill, don't try to just play to protect the lead, it's not working. That is also on the coaching staff.

Good win against Boston and the Canadians, but a tough loss against Cindy the Punk and the Pens. I think I mentioned more then one time, that I keep screaming at Lundqvist to stay the heck in the nets and don't touch the puck. He is terrible trying to play the puck. He just gets rid of it without knowing where it is going, and 90% of the time it gets picked up by the other team, and this time against the Pens, he blew it and cost us the game in regulation time. He really needs to stay put between the pipes and just stop the puck and let his D man pick it up and try to get it out of the zone. He makes me a nervous wreck, everytime he comes out to play the puck. Most of all, I just can't stand this 3 on 3, it is pure BS. And there is no way Zuc is going to control Cindy the Punk in front of the net all by himself. I think AV and had the wrong personnel out there on the 3 on 3. Should of had 2 D men, and 1 forward. We got a point, but we needed 2. We just keep making it hard on our selves, when we could separate ourselves from the pack.
