Right now they have $60 Mil to blow. Once they re-structure or release Cruz they will have $6-8 Mil of addional space. Giants have informed Cruz to re-structure or get released. Good move the guy hasn't played in 2 years- that's an eternity in the NFL.

I agree about Cruz. I like him but you have to be on the field.

What do you think about JPP?His hand is messed up. If they bring him back it should be for one year incentive based. I would be fine if the moved on since he was inconsistant the last couple of years prior to the hand injury.

Reese better spend wisely.  A lot of good RB's available to. Wish they would upgrade.

I like JPP. They think he will play without the club this season so he should be much better this year but not quite the old self. They still need a WR, OL, FS and MLB. Two of those will be addressed in the first 2 rounds and the other two in FA. Which is which? Hopefully we will have some more answers tomorrow. They really are looking a lot better already.

RB isn't a huge need, I bet they wait until next season to draft or sign one. Jennings probably gets cut next season. I'm ok with Darkwa, Jennings and Vereen for now. Andre Williams needs to hit the road though. I'd love Dalvin Cook or Fornett next season but hopefully we are drafting 32nd- meaning both will be long gone.

Yea , good day. I hearing different things on how much more they have to spend. Hopefully enough to add a few more quality players. They really need some LB's. I'd be fine with bringing in a WR like Bouldin for the year.Cruz did the right thing. Hopefully he can get on the field.

Agree about Williams. He's has no instincts, just hits the hole even if it's not there.I'm not a big fan of Jennings but they have bigger needs.

Giants still have roughly ~ $30 Mil in cap space (figuring $5-6 Mil for the draft) to address the remaining needs. With the big names going quickly this is the status:

Remaining WR class- just plain bad. There is not one receiver I'd like to see them sign since Sanu is gone, Jeffrey got tagged and the rest got tendered. #10 draft pick for Treadwell looks like a safe bet right now if I had to make one.

Remaining FS class- Since Gipson is gone there isn't a whole lot. They are interested Eric Weddle. He's 31- a little older than I'd like but the best available. Reggie Nelson is another 32 year old but he's been durable. Not crazy about these guys.

Remaining OT class- Schroeder is the best RT available. They are apparently not interested in Mitchell Schwartz, Geoff's brother. Not much else after him.

Remaining G class- Bleak. Even Mathis is 34 and the only decent G remaining. Draft

Remaining MLB class- Bleak. Draft all the way. Likely in the 2nd round.

Remaining OLB class- Tahir Whitehead. Everyone else is avg or depth.

I'd love to see them grab Weddle (weak FS class outside of Ramsey who will be gone) and Schroeder to solidify the secondary and OL. Hart and Jerry can battle it out at RG. Draft a WR and LB in the 1st and 2nd round. Add OL and other depth rounds 3-7 and call it a day. Plenty of solid DT's will be available in the 3rd round. We have the 8th pick of the 3rd I think.

Darkwa looks like the best back in the bunch. He was great in limited time last season. Boldin would be a nice add for the right price, but not a long term solution.

Darkwa did look good. Bouldin is still a tough physical WR who will catch the ball. I think he would come for a 1 year deal.

Weddle would be a nice pickup.

Is Donnels healthy? The kid Tye looked decent but they could use an upgrade. It doesn't look like there is one available.

I'd take Gresham. Solid blocker but not much in the pass game. Tye looks more like an H-Back but is a very good pass catching TE. Vereen also can play in the slot/catch the ball out of the backfield. Adding another solid blocker (Will Tye is not the guy for that job) would be a sound move.

Question is the same every year for him: will this be the year Randle is consistent?
