Just want to add one more thing about Gordie and the days of the orig 6. Unlike today with all the TV time outs, and team time outs, so guys can rest up in todays game, there was none of that in the orig. 6, the game was played without those rest times. A real mans game.

Thats true in not only all sports but all tv.  Not intended to give them rest but to make the tv station $$$$$$$.

Right on about TV running all sports Joe

Well Ranger fans, and you too Joe the Devil fan, just want to say, watching Cindy the Punk, and the Penguins win to go to the finals, bothers me more than watching the Rangers lose this season.

Pittsburg looks a lot better than than earlier in the season. I thought Caps or Stars for sure.

The Sharks better win one today or it can get really ugly. That backup goalie for the Pens has helped them get this far. Fluery better keep looking over his shoulder.

It's great watching a game with no emotional invovlement.

I said to some of my Ranger buddies before the semi finals were over that the teams from the West are big and physical, but the teams from the East, Pens and Tampa are more talented and maybe too fast for St. Louis or San Jose. I hope I am wrong. If Penguins win my TV will be off as soon as the whistle is blown, I don't want to watch Cindy the Punk hold the Cub. Only player I will be happy for will be Haglin. But I refuse to watch the Penguins celebrate.
Lets Go San Jose

Rarely does the team who wins the Pres CUp with the Stanley Cup....As far as the Caps go, IMO they lost b/c they played the same game that they did during the regular season..pinpoint passing and play making. Hockeys the only sport where you cant do what got you there. Playoff hockey is more wide open, and the checkinf is thighter than in the regular season...They tried for the perfect play rather than shoot and force the goalie to make a save and clear the puck to safety.

Good points about hockey in the PO season.

Good news. The Sharks live to swim another day.

Bad news. Mr. Hockey passed.

So Mike Sullivan leads them to a Cup. Maybe we should have tossed Vigneault and promoted him.

The Rangers future is bleak. Their best shot was these last few years and especially last season. An aging D is killing their game. A sniper who can't find the bulls eye and some fast young guys who just aren't panning out.

Management are bad decision makers. Witness the Hagelin trade.

An expensive goalie who after 11 years can't get them the Cup by himself. Trading him gets them talent.

What do they do?

I expected more from the Rangers like I do the Yankees. NYC teams. A long history in their respective leagues. Sadly, both teams are going nowhere for a while.
