NY Rangers 2016-2017 Season

Lundqvist looked like himself these last two games. Letting only two goals in per game is what he needs to do to give the Rangers an opportunity  to win. He came up big with Ovechkin knocking on his front door Sat night. He also looked great last night with some amazing saves. He still scares the plook out of me when he leaves the net, though.

The Rangers offense is clicking. They finally have a PP that is not a league embarrassment and a winning percentage in the FO circle. They can roll four, effective lines. Three scary power forwards in Nash, Kreider and now Vesey. They hit at least two pipes every night and outplayed their opponents in their two losses.

Just like the Yankees, the Rangers have fans in every arena they play in plus you gotta love the Zuuuucs chants on the road. Totally demoralizing for the home team.

Listening to Gianone's P-B-P makes me realize that Rosen is slipping. Just like the Scooter did towards the end of his tenure. You sometimes wonder if they are watching the same game that we are.

My biggest complaint with Rosen is that he pushes this "MSG Family" crap as if Ranger fans give a rat's ass about the fishsticks or devils.  Sorry guys, you can work on your little monopoly all you like but no one is buying it.

Another win after a rocky start. This time, it only took 10 seconds as opposed to a minute to bury one in the Ranger net. I'm thinking yet another 2-0 hole to climb out of after one period but the Rangers do it.

Nash gets them started and they explode for 5 unanswered goals. Ok, it was against a backup to a backup but these guys have four lines that can score and historically backup goalies are usually quite effective against the Rangers.

Their goal scoring prowess really surprises me. These guys will be among the top scoring teams in the league. If AV doesn't burn out McDonagh and the D steps up a bit and gives Lundqvist a fighting chance this could be an enjoyable season.

Rangers in sole possession of first place. Over all playing hungry hockey with a killer instinct. Great to see. Something much needed to be a top team. I think Jeff Buke has changed the way the D is treating players in their crease. They will, pay a price.

Wow What a game last night against Tampa. Boy was this Ranger Team on fire. They made Tampa look sick. I am just loving the way this team is playing and the way Vesey and Nash have such great chemistry together.

Nice Article in the NY Post by Larry Brooks about Nash. I really like what he says about how much he loves playing for the Rangers and wants to be no where else but in NY. And check out this famous goal on youtube LB talks about against the Coyotes when he was with Columbus WOW:

And here is the article in he Post by LB, It's a nice read, and it says much about Nash and Vesey.

Goals R us early this season for us.  Defense hasn't been as bad overall as I expected it would be either . If we could get another top 4 to help Mcdonagh while Skjei grows they're a legit contender, so deep
