Hey, Tony....  Gudas got six games for this hit but nothing for driving Vesey face first into the boards.  Typical NHL.

Just another example of the Double Standard in the NHL when it comes to the NY Rangers Bobo1, we have seen this tooooooo much over the many, many years as Ranger Fans. It's a Joke, and it proves once again, that there are NHL rules for teams and a separate set for the NY Rangers.

For most of the game, Rangers were the better team, but it's very depressing to not allow  any shots on goal in the 3rd period for the Blues and the Rangers couldn't score, when they had many good chances. Vesey is young and will learn to finish, but he really needs to score when the net is wide open for him. I am sure it's a combo of being young and trying too hard to score, and a little rookie nerves, . But when he has the chances he had, he needs to finish, and he will.

I am not making any excuses for Nash, but I am very upset in the way AV is using him. He will not produce the way he can and should, with Hayes as his center. Nash belongs on the line with Zuc and Steph. I don't understand AV's thinking on this. We did not get Nash to be a defensive specialist, and not get the ice time he should have. IMO, AV is using him like he is over the hill as an offensive power forward. He is not on the number 1 line on the power play. Everyone says we need more from Nash, and I agree, then give him the proper ice time and line mates to do it.

The Rangers owned the 1st period and half of the 2nd. They totally dominated the 3rd and were on fire. They outshot the Blues 35 to 18 and I think that St. Louis didn't have one SOG in the 3rd. They were stuck in their own zone and appeared depleted after playing three games in four nights.

Their backup goalie Hutton was the reason they won and the goalpost helped him twice. Lundqvist was awful last night allowing 3 goals on only 18 shots. That loss was on him.

I was surprised to see Nash on the 3rd line.

Did Lundqvist peak two years ago?

Two years ago was a different coach, a different style, and a different team.  Times change.

Besides, Lundqvist gave up one on a deflection and one on a great shot by a superstar player last night.  No goalie stops everything.
