Yes I find myself screaming at Lundqvist to stay in the net and don't touch the puck. He is brutal playing the puck.

Chris Drury named Asst. GM of the Rangers.
I read and heard Ranger Fans knocking this move, and stating his play with the Rangers. Not liking this move is like saying the Rangers new GM doesn't know what he us doing. Thats BS.
Drury's record on offense during his NHL career, has no merit at all for being hired as Asst. GM. His name to fame from Little League till,he retired has always been as a true big time winner and always came up big in clutch situation. And I am sure he has showed that same determination in his role with this Ranger Organisation. I don't even see a reason for debate on this issue except to trust in the new GM's decision and wish them luck. There is no reason for any negativity at all.

With the slow Rangers D, Henrik's skating and stick handling ability would help them GREATLY if the trapezoid wasnt there.

Lundqvist's only glaring weakness is his puck handling. I cringe when he passes the puck because it has a good chance of landing on the oppostions stick.

Most older hockey fans don't like these new rules. I do agree with the NHL frowning upon head hunting. Solid hits and checks are fine but an elbow or fist to the head is low class.

I just read that the ex Ranger/Horned One Gomez just announced his retirement.

His puck handling is limited by his being pinned to an area thats sole design was to make it hard for a goalie to accurately handle the puck....that was the sole reason for the trapezoid.

TORTS STANDS UP FOR ANTHEM.

nypost.com/2016/09/06/john-tortorella-th...

This was in the NY Post today, And good for Torts, and God Bless America. As a proud Vet that served my country with honor to protect the rights of out Country and the USA, and have to watch this A Hole Kapernick sit during our National Anthem, makes me sick to my stomach. And thank God for Torts speaking out for the USA, and the players on his team for the World Cup. Kapernick sitting during the National Anthem is like spitting in the face of all the brave men and women in the Military serving our Country now and in the past . And if he does this on opening day which is on 9/11, and the NFL doesn't do anything, what a disgrace. The NFL takes no action on Kapernick, but tells the Dallas Cowboys, they can not wear anything on their helmets to honor the 5 Dallas Cops who were murdered. What has this country come to.

You can exercise freedom w/o disrespecting the Flag and the National Anthem....yes, he has his first amendment rights just as folks down south who want to display the stars and bars ahev theirs...Thankfully, the national conscience used their heads and thought the harm that would cause certain parts of society. If you want your rights and freedoms respected, be ready to accept others who's might be disagreeable to yours as WELL as take whatever **** comes your way as a result.

Bobo my dear friend, that goes both ways, you and Kaoernick have the right to agree with how he is exercising his first amendment, and Joe and I have the right to disagree the way he has done it.

I wonder under what flag Kapernick earn the right to sign a contract for 114 million dollars. Maybe he can contribute half of that contract to his cause.

Remember opening day in the NFL, Is on 9/11. And if he sits again, I am sure there are over 3,000 people who are not here anymore to exercise their freedom, who would love to be hete and stand up for the National Anthem.

And BTW, do the Dallas Cowboys who want to honor the 5 Dallas Cops Who were assassinated with a decal on their helmets have the same freedom of the first amendment? Evidently not according to the NFL.

So Bob my friend we will just have to agree to disagree. I am with Joe and many Americans on this, all the way along with Torts
