That hat happened on Obama’s watch.

The carryover of the two wars into Obama's administrations, the renewal of the Bush tax cuts, and the unpaid-for Medicare, Part D were a huge part of that.  Obama reduced the deficits before he left office.  We were at the brink of the economic abyss when he was elected.  At the end of 8 years, he was able to hand off a much better situation to The Orange Menace.

Slowest recovery since the depression.  I blame the stimulus and quantitative easing.

I hope we can end the cycle of Dem presidents having to clean up the messes of GOP administrations...

Plus, Obama inherited two wars that had to be paid for. Trump on the other hand inherited a good economy.

That doesn’t change the fact that the largest deficit in US history DID NOT happen on Trump’s watch.

What do you think is happening to the deficit now and down the road after Trump and the GOP rammed through their tax scam?

what do you think will happen if we start printing money for the GND and Medicare for all?

It will make this current deficit look like chump change.

Trumpet already owns the largest trade defecit in our history and like bertram said, after the wealth redistribution and tax scam get recorded he will own the largest defecit.

He already owns the most corrupt admin ever and he can't fill many vacancies because decent people do not want to be associated with this asshat.

His family and aides are lining their own pockets daily. He makes a mockery of his position every time he speaks or tweets.

The history books will not be kind to Mr. Trumpet or his apologists and enablers.

The president regularly spends the weekend hobnobbing privately with rich clients

Two recent news reports about the influence of people at Mar-a-Lago should remind us of how unusual it is for the president to spend so much time fraternizing with clients of his private business. https://wapo.st/2CeuqIF

The trade deficit is  a largely meaningless metric.

Trump’s 2020 budget proposal seriously cuts the nation’s safety net

Ahead of 2020, Trump is going after Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid, and more.
