hey Tito! Yeah one way or the other I think it will be a fun season. I wish they had just a little more speed. Tht would make it even more fun to watch. Perhaps we'll get some exciting base running  out of Gardner and/or Ellsbury

Just getting Tex , Arod and McCann out of the lineup makes them that much better. The few times they did get on they usually just clogged the bases up.

I want all these older players gone, whoever they can deal since they seem to have decent replacements close. Unfortunately Ellsbury will be here .

Besides Torres this kid McKinney came over to in the Chapman trade. Small sample but sweet swing. He might move fast to.

The starters other then Tanaka will decide if they compete but still should be fun.

I haven't seen this McKinny kid. Is he righty or lefty Yank? I do think the power in this lineup is just a little righthanded but the righties like Sanchez and Holliday do have opposite field power. As I said before, I'm really excited about this season. To me it has the feel of '95/96. I don't have faith in CC and who knows with Pineda and although I shouldn't I still worry about Tanaka's elbow.

Lefty hitter with some power, plays mostly rightfield. He was a 1st round pick in 2013 and the Yankees were rumored to be very interested in drafting him. Some mock drafts that year even had the Yankees taking him with their top pick if he fell to them. He was drafted 2 picks above the Yankees by the A's and the Yankees took Eric Jagielo out of ND. Good bat but it turned out they didn't like his defense at 3rd base and eventually traded him. McKinney hasn't lived up to his billing since being drafted, but he's really opened up a lot of eyes this offseason. Cashman has a thing for picking up former first round picks and jumped on this kid as really a throw-in that Chapman trade last year. He's had a great spring.

Yea  I'm busting BG . I'm treating him like Hamp treats Austin. He has a nice swing. Very nicely surprised when I saw him because I wasn't expecting much.

Hopefully Gardner still can be dealt. I think other teams know they won't have to give much if anything. Unless Ellsbury turns back the clock we are stuck. Hal wont eat that much.

With Frazier, Fowler and McKinny they have some good young options. Hate to see them blocked because of bad contracts. Even Mason Williams impressed my in his short stint last year but he seems to be a little like Heathcott. Always gets hurt.

If they could dump Headley I'd put Castro at 3rd and either Wade or Torres at 2nd. I think Torres  can be one of these young fast movers. Very impressive. Wade I like to.

I just hope Yankees give Bird and Judge every opportunity to succeed.  Let Bird play everyday. This business of making considerations for Carter should be in the back burner if Bird needs a game off on occasions. Judge and Bird is not going to improve if they don't have consistency to get in as many games as possible. Hicks will get his turn playing in all oldfield positions.

I'm excited with the coming season.  Contenders or otherwise, it's fun to see Yankees developing players and to watch them grow in the seasons ahead.

I agree both Judge and Bird should play every day.

Nobody cares what you think.

lol! I know, that's why they didn't get Chapman many years earlier and don't have Moncada on their roster.

Problem is no one wants their huge contracts.  Let's hope with the youth movement that Ellsbury regains his youth form.
