What are everyones take on the 4th and 5th starter now that spring training is coming to an end? who is ods on favorite to win the last two rotation spots?

Also I am seeing the Yankees again In Port Charlotte on Thursday, any idea who might start on Thursday? Is It going to be CC it would be his turn to pitch but would they bring CC on a road trip?

I am actually concerned about the third, fourth and fifth starters. Right now CC is number 3. 4 and 5 is a crap shoot. No one really standing out except maybe Mitchell. Severino is incomsistent, Cessa is mediocre at best and Warren IMO belongs in the pen. Said all along rotation was a concern.

What about Sanchez he has a great arm? Can he pitch and catch at the same time? Could be our shut down battery.

He doesn't run fast enough.  They've tried it.

based on last year I see it like,

                                                                              1.Tanaka

                                                                               2. CC

                                                                              3. Pineda

Last year CC pitched really good, no reason to think he wont do the same only a year older and his knee was cleaned out in the off season in minor surgery. CC never pitches good In spring nothing to get alarmed at yet. Pineda has had a good spring so far except for his last start lets see how he does in his last spring start that should be telling indeed. Something to remember about Pineda Its his walk year you would think he would try to pitch good this year to get his big pay day? we will see. Tanaka was great last year an ace pitcher!
did Severino actually pitch enough innings to qualify as a rookie in 2015? I would think not so he is going into his Sophomore year a little early to give up on him dont you think?

unlike cc, severino has to earn a spot on the rotation and so far he hasn't done that. he may need to spend more time at scranton to work on things. i'm sure they're not ready to punt on him being a starter.

CC isnt going to the bullpen and he makes to much money to cut he is assured a spot in the rotation, CC pitches bad every spring but had a good season last year.

Tanaka and Pineda in walk years and CC with his swan song could make for a very strong top 3.  I have faith in Mitchell as a number 5 ... just don't know who gets the #4 spot.  My choice would be Severino but I haven't actually seen enough of him to see if he's improved.

Only Bugs Bunny can do that.

To start the season my guess the starting rotation will be...

Tanaka

Pineda

CC

Severino

Mitchell

But between CC's age, Severino and Mitchell being on innings limits my guess is that a combo of Cessa, Green, Montgomery will be in the rotation at one time or another.
