Because I don't think it's the right play to close that gap from no Double-A, no Triple-A and then jump somebody to the major-league level when we've got a bunch of other guys to fill an injury need. You usually don't handle your high-end players at 20 years of age that way. It's not something I would advocate."

If he tears up at AA and the Didi injury ends up being more serious and drags on into the summer, I could see him come up from AA a la Robinson Canó but it's highly unlikely.  I'd mark Didi 5 weeks from the day of injury which only puts him a couple weeks into the season but shoulders are finicky animals.

Sure, if that's a longer term injury. It's not supposed to be though.  He's supposed to be back at the start of May though. For a month of the regular season it isn't worth it, not with other short-term options available.

didn't tex originally injure his wrist in 2012 when he went off to play in the wbc? never the same after that.

Yes he did. Missed that whole first year with the surgery and the 2nd year after he was still trying to recover.

If it's a long term injury maybe we can pry Stephen Drew away from the Nationals. He has always been so reliable for the Yankees. What do you think Big?

He's my idol. When I grow up I want to be just like him !

We won't need to worry about that, will we?

Someone said Drew???? My Hero!!!!!!

NO DREW! Suck is contagious!        I was referring to Big Guy growing up... Never happening!

There are reports he's headed back to Tampa early after suffering a right shoulder injury. Let's hope it's not serious. If he can't start the season, who takes his spot?

Wade most likely

Tyler Wade do you mean? I would think one of our top Prospects no? What about Tejada somewhat of a veteran?

Do you expect them to rush Mateo or start the clock on a prospect like Torres?

So Wade.

I'd like to see Wade; play the hot hand ... but knowing the Yankees, it'll be Tejada.

Agreed. I also doubt the Yankees will start the MLB service time clock with Torres so early in the season.
