Some people are claiming that the Yankees need to change with the times to either attract or keep the  young audience .

This includes :

1- having more than two uniforms

2- allowing for long hair and beards

3- condoning  celebrations

question is : Should the Yankees stay the way they are with their old time traditions or move with the times ?

1- Tradition - Two uniforms just fine by me.

2. Change- A little. Long hair not past the neck and beards no longer than one inch below the chin.

3. Tradition- Act like youve been there before.

want to keep or attract youth audience? Players should Give more autographs and interact with the fan base, kids remember everything.

I think they can sell any gear they want but when they wear crap on the field for any reason other than the home and aways with standard cap I think it cheapens them

I think the hair policy is classy and should stay

I think celebrations for anything short of a walk off or a playoff championship diminishes the accomplishment

Not much I would change.. We are the classest team in baseball, why not stay that way... The game is a job, and in most cases some kind of dress code comes with every job... The hair issue, well we look neat and I like to see a team of class players, being clean shaving shows just what you are willing to do to play for the NY Yankees...

it never gets old ;-) Thanks big guy for the cherished gif.

On the poll, I firmly think the Yankees should keep their traditions as it helps them stand out as a beacon of excellence that stands the test of time and nurtures the Yankee ideal that we all should try to aspire. While, the first question is an easy no - the Yankee uniform is perfect look and outsells any other jersey, too - the second one being the toughest - the grooming policy often gets twisted to fit a certain agenda that the team is too authoritarian, yet in reality is just practicing professionalism.

No, the policy doesn't ban any facial hair but recommends basic grooming habits of a professional player and simply means, Thurmon Munson -> fine | Johnny Caveman Damon --> No. Never got the big deal over that and frankly all these hipster beards are becoming quite pathetic seeing it is done in jest and not in some meaninful way, for example Hockey playoff beards or men doing real hard labor jobs. When a bunch of pampered millionares grow deliberate beards they are a distraction and selfish oddity seeking brazen attention. In an ironic sense, the Yankees are the truly rebelious sports team that sustains tradition while every club submits to any passing fad. Always admire men who stand for something and don't give in to stupid gimicks.

The final question is quite easy as well, there is no need to punish or discourage real celebration- natural reaction and elation are always welcomed -but, the Chorograph antics of Big PEDi and Jose Bausita are a blatent fabricated emotions that disguise obvious narcissist tendencies.

Tradition... tradition...tradition... no long hair... beards... crooked caps... and Holiday needs to button the top button of his Jersey. It looks sloppy.
