Wonder if they call Adams up for the spot start with his next start being on Sunday. Good call giving Tanaka the extra day and the clearly weaker opponent.

Adams is not on the 40 man roster. Someone would have to be dropped.

I love this move. The only thing missing right now is the outcome. The Angels are NOT the O's - The Angels are Trout-less in a pitcher-friendly park - an extra day of rest(hasn't helped this year except for his Boston performance against Sale)...wins all around - now for the outcome..

they're doing everything they can to build some confidence and maybe some momentum going forward. didn't want him to face the orioles a third time this season.

Wow, but what does it say when the manager says a division rival is not a good matchup for your "Ace" and you need to move his start back? I agree with the move but I can't ever recall a manager saying somthing like that.

If you have been a fan since 1955, you may recall Casey used to routinely skip Whitey Ford in Fenway.

Sweet. Now they just need to dump Tommy Lane and give his roster spot to Adams. Give this man a pitcher of coffee please!

Hey Rob & 55, i highly recommend you pick up the new biography on Casey Stengal. Not a fluff piece and a very good read. I finished it last week and really enjoyed it
