They're mostly a young team without a lot of experience and they are still developing. We'll see how good they are or are not in a couple of years. Right now they look like straight up garbage though, true.

I agree and I disagree, how can you say they look like garbage ?? This team has already outplayed what anyone expected.. The problem is they are starting to feel the heat of a pennant race, they might bounce back and play the way they did the first half or they might fold under the pressure, but they do know, from experience they can play with anyone, now they just have to go back and play like they were.. All the men left on base, in most cases it's the kids that are coming up in these situations, and right now they are the one's that are coming up "short.. If we don't return to the quality of play we played the first half, it still makes us a better team for years to come.. "We seem to forget, at the beginning of this season, we all know it was a rebuilding one".... So let's not get down on this young team, it's only going to make for a better team down the road..

To Kurosawa, and the rest of the Yankees message board crybabies, "looking like garbage" means they aren't world champions, so they hate them. It's all or nothing with these loser posters. May I recommend they take a vacation from posting until 2020, when the Yankees finally have a solid, matured, WS championship material team on the field everyday. Maybe then they can be happy for a season or two.

They have not quit!  The young ones are still learning.  Also, there have been too many injuries.

This team did not quit. The bad results are not from a lack of effort. If anything, the Yankees are a team trying too hard. In baseball trying too hard almost always has bad results. Joe Torre talked about playing with intensity without being tense. This team is tense.

This Yankees are not too young. That is BS. There are two or three positions on the field every game filled by a young player and about the same  filled by a veteran. This is normal. Look at the ages of the 2016 Cubs. Baseball is best played by young men.

Refusing to compete is for cowards. They don't hand out participation trophies in MLB...at least not yet. If we don't win the WS I am going to be angry. I hate losing...but I'd rather be a bad loser than a coward.

normally I'd agree Pat but the key players on this team are kids. Judge and Sanchez in the middle of the order are kids that are going through the grind of a full MLB season for the first time. Aside from Gardner and Ellsbury they haven't gone through a real pennant chase yet. I don't like losing but if I get beat by a better player or team and I gave it my all, I can't do anything but congradulate the winner.
