Roster changes for this weekend?

I can't imagine the Yankees can go into this weekend without adding at least one position player.  I can't see them winning if they trot out the same 25 man roster they had last night.

Boston will start at least two lefties (maybe three - is Pomeranz scheduled for tomorrow?) and the Yankees are without several key righty hitters - Castro, Holliday, Clint Frazier.  Are they really planning on DHing Headley (who can't hit lefties) or Ellsbury this weekend?  It would seem Andujar should be called up to DH this weekend.

Do they really need 8 relievers and a useless (at this point) Sabathia clogging the roster up this weekend, when a guy like Andujar could give the lineup a jolt.  Even a Tyler Austin, if he's ready, might help this weekend.

They will probably bring up a bat for Friday and Saturday and just DL CC.  Then they'll send that bat down and bring Montgomery up on Sunday.

No, they brought Montgomery up today.  I guess they feel they don't need another bat or another position player today or tomorrow.  I disagree, but I guess they know better.  They'd rather go with 12 position players, and 13 pitchers, including Montgomery, who they didn't need to call up until Sunday.  Whatever.

As they throw Austin to the curb. I mean it isn't as though they're to play against RH pitchers. I wish Denbo had more say in who comes up and who goes down. Cashman and Girardi play favorites. Right now, McKinney and/or Cave would be better options in the OF than either Ellsbury or Gardner.

I wrotet that just to draw you out, New, knowing how you favor BG (not Big Guy). He's on on-base guy, no question. But I still want Mckinney and/or Cave next year. Changing of the Guards, anyone?

I'm not sure of the MLB rule, but if they DL CC, I think Montgomery would have to be the replacement in order to avoid the 10 day wait.  I'm not sure they can bring someone else up and then bring up Montgomery later claiming the DL waives the 10 day rule.

Girardi already said Montgomery was starting Sunday, and the only way they could bring him up early was because CC had to go on the 10 day DL..

Or they could have waited for Tanaka to go on the DL Saturday. Undecided
