If not for the throw to nail Nunez at 3rd, it's at minimum a tie game.

Girardi has no feel for a reliever that hasn't got it.  Somebody mentioned it earlier.  He'll let Chapman and  Betances stay in way past their expiration date.  Betances should have been up after the first walk.

The next 2 batters were lefties and he's not bringing in Betances to face them. PS they won the game.

Sorry Luv... Girardis lucky that Noonies sloppy base running saved his ass. Chapman didnt have it... we already played this heartbreaking game. I just saw Girardi on the postgame.... I thought he was very glib. He would have been run out of town if they blew this game.

True but Girardi's strict on matchups. I'm not saying it was the right move not bringing in Betances, just saying Girardi wasn't going to bring him in because of his stuborness for matchups.

The hooters are exerting pressure on her diaphragm, so she needs to yell...

Man, heart attack city. So awesome. Only thing that makes me happier than a Boston loss is a Yankee win, tonight we got both!

If the Yanks can take tomorrows game this will be a great series no matter what nutcase does on Sunday.

They've played Boston tough all season. It's the rest of the league they need to worry about, LOL

If you start someone warming everytime there is a walk, your relievers won't have any confidence. Girardi has to show confidence in Chapman. Why mess with his head?

Honestly, chapman is a veteran, do you really think he will lose confidence if girardi took him out? He throws 102 and has a history of success. If he was a young rookie, then you can talk about confidence.

Very good point. I think we recall how he came to New York. You don't want to get him angry.
