He's going to be a very good pick up for the Yankees, especially with them able to keep their most prized prospects.

Cashman made a great deal and fleeced Money Ball Beane.

If only they can speed up his game a little! But yes, he's got great stuff, and an assortment of different pitches, and angles which he delivers them!

He is slow, but I can live with that if he pitches the way he has been. Speeding him up may ruin his rythmn.

I always thought he was. What have the A'a won during his tenure?

Beane deserves credit for bring analytics into the front offices of baseball. Today other GMs and front office staffs have surpassed him. He stayed in Oakland for years to be close to his daughter but that also let him keep his "genius" tag without every having to compete with the big boys. I dislike Epstein...but he took the challenge and finished the job in Chicago. Beane never took the challenge.

Lol out those saying he's injury prone and we shouldn't trade for him.

Gray has fit in nice with Tanaka and CC behind Severino at the top of the rotation. He looks to be a solid 2 or 3 for the next few years.

I like Gray and glad the Yanks made the deal. He reminds me a bit of Mussina with the ball movement. Like Mussina I wish he would stop nibbling when he gets way ahead in the count. He has the stuff to go after hitters in a 1-2 count. With pitch count limits pitchers should be more aggressive so they can go deeper into the games
