I'd love to sign with the Yankees also, but I think he's having a dream that when he wakes up it'll be in another uniform... Just not room for a .200 hitter making as much as he would like to make... Give him a minor league contract and see if he wants to stay ?? Wink

I have a better chance of signing with the Yankees.

Right. Of all the vets on the present team, two will probably remain (Gardner and Headley) next year, one will be traded at a $$$$ loss (Ellsbury), and I doubt the other (Holiday) will be re-signed as the DH. I'd like to rid ourselves of all four (plus Frazier, of course), but don't see Gardner/Headley leaving until the new 2019 Yankees team comes to pass. You never know, of course. If Cashman finds himself isolated within the top-management circle now that Michael (his supportive and advising mentor) is gone, he might seek employment elsewhere, which if he does I'd imagine the new GM would have things to say about keeping someone like Gardner--for example, trading him, possibly, while his assets for another teaam and a possible return for us look good. Doubtful, though.

my tongue's deep in my cheek about the frazier thing ... agree about hardy & head possibly staying and ells little revival may have upped his trade value a bit even if at a dollar loss.
