good for him...  how about he actually does something on the field of some significance before he starts making managerial moves...  let's let this diva go somewhere else...

It seems like all prodigious shortstops and centerfielders were outstanding pitchers but it would be impractical to use them that way.  We don't need a gimic.  The guy is either our best choice in the outfield or a pitcher.  If not pass, Aaron Hicks wouldn't increase his value as the swingman in the pen.

He's gotten a lot of hype for playing in a league equivalent to AA over here and a league from which most who have come over have failed.

Do whats needed. He's an elite talent and he's 23 and will be dirt cheap, if he wants to DH once or twice a week let him providing he can hit in the majors obviously.

He wants to be a "two way" player?  Does that mean he wants to play offense and then play defense during an inning?  Well.... OK, he can do that...

Let him insist all he wants, in today's MLB you can only be a star EITHER as a pitcher, or an everyday player, NOT BOTH..compare it to the days of Babe Ruth when there was very little competition. Now we have a zillion players in the draft, all the different levels of minor league ball, plus international players. The media is really tipping the scales in the BS meter with this kid...once he hits the big leagues, this guy will probably be an average to good player, and that's about it. See all the other players who have come out of Japan, and remember all the hype they got (Irabu, Dice K, etc., etc.). The only exceptions were Ichiro and Matsui.
