Bombshell: Longtime Clinton Friend Admits ‘Warning’ Top-Level Democrats About Weinstein

Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, the creator of the iconic 90s sitcomDesigning Women and a close friend for decades of Bill and Hillary Clinton, admits that she not only knew of producer Harvey Weinstein’s predations, but that she warned “top-level” Democrats about him.

Buried deep within a Hollywood Reporter guest column, Bloodworth-Thomason drops this bombshell (with a deflecting shot at Fox News): “I confess to having had no problem warning at least three top-level Democratic operatives against allowing Harvey Weinstein to host political fundraisers. A warning that evidently (and to the glee of Fox News) fell on deaf ears.”

She also says she was a member of “a ‘Let’s Bring Harvey Weinstein Down’ lunch club” and appears to express some disbelief towards those who, “despite knowing him for decades,” now “announce they had no idea what was going on.”

To this, she writes, “OK. Whatever.”

If Bloodworth-Thomason knew about Weinstein’s alleged predations and warned top-level Democrats, how difficult is it to add two and two to come up with the Clintons and the Democrat Party knew?

Certainly, and we have no reason to doubt Bloodworth-Thomason, at least three top-level Democrats knew, and did nothing to stop Weinstein from becoming a major player and fundraiser within the Party.

Talk about a War on Women.

For the Clintons and the Democrat Party, Harvey Weinstein was a rainmaker. Over the years, he not only personally contributes somewhere around a million dollars to various Democrats, including the Clintons and President Obama, his bundling and fundraising raised, by some estimates, tens of millions of dollars.

Moreover, these high-level political connections undoubtedly helped to shield him for all of these years.

Bloodworth-Thomason is also open about why high-powered men remain protected. She admits her feminism was tested by Bill Clinton’s behavior when she was on the frontlines defending him in the 1990s:

However, I will be the first to admit that clearly delineated moral choices can still be painfully complex where friendship is involved. One of the best friends I will ever have and a man I love dearly, former President Bill Clinton, has certainly taxed my feminist conscience, but always without diminishing my affection. I even helped write his apology to the nation for his own sexual misconduct, was sitting next to him when he delivered it, and believe to this day it was based on something that was none of our business. And yes, some may call it hypocritical[.]

There is also an ominous moment in the column, an admission that “these kinds of atrocities against women routinely go unreported and unpunished in the entertainment industry.”

Maybe in her next column, Bloodworth-Thomason will feel comfortable enough to tell us who these monsters are.

She writes, “Change is coming. There is a new feeling in the air.”

But until women like Bloodworth-Thomason can work in a Hollywood that feels safe enough to point to and say the names of these monsters, nothing will change.

Bombshell = The whole country was warned about Donald, heard about his p***y grabbing, all the sexual harassment charges that other women claimed, all of his affairs, his three marriages, and yet you republicans still elected him POTUS ?? How about that craner ???

What you don't understand my friend, Lewinski was consensual, and I'm sure Hillary wasn't there pushing Sweet Monica's head down between you know where.. And if I'm not forgetting, Bill was already POTUS.. The country/world, including you and the rest of Donalds followers knew all about Donald and his sexual behaver, he even bragged about it, yet you still all voted for him.. When will you understand it's in Donald's corner not anyone elses...

Monica responding to the #MeToo campaign I just found amusing.  There were plenty of women that accused Bill of unwelcome behavior.  Bill and Donald are cut from the same cloth.  Self entitled sociopaths.  Hillary used to call and threaten Bill's accusers and party with Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein but now she is supposed to be the voice of empowered women, please.

The world knew that Bill was a sexual predator when he ran for President just like they knew Schwarzenegger was when he ran for Governor of California, they just didn't care.  Hillary was running around calling the victims "bimbo eruptions."

The husband of Hillary's closest aid and confidant squandered his whole life and ended up in jail for his extramarital relations.  Fortunately Bill is no longer a threat, the pills keeping his heart from failing are keeping his johnson limp.  Clinton donors Bernard Lewinski and Marcia Lewis get their 22 year old daughter a resume padding internship in the White House and he takes advantage of the low hanging fruit because it was his MO and nature.

Let's not forget his self righteous Vice President who lost his marriage to Tipper because he wouldn't stop sexually harassing and assaulting masseuses.

I totally agree with you about Bill, but I still don't think it was Hillary's fault.. You'll never convince me that when the man has the affair the blame should go to the wife... But on the other hand, Donald bragged about his sexual aggressiveness and and everyone knew it, yet they still had a choice and you still voted for him..That's your choice, but I don't like it when it good for one and not for the other...

Hillary came from a different era where that was kind of condoned or accepted as inevitable.  She was certainly with her actions a willing enabler.  Hopefully we are turning a corner where it is less accepted.  It is really disturbing how many of the high profile offenders have daughters but refuse to view their victims as someone’s daughter.

I find Al Gore’s harassment especially troubling.  with his lack of personality it would be like being raped by an arrogant Forest Gump.

I so wish Hillary would just go away. I never thought she was a good person. I voted for her because I thought she was less dangerous then the guy in there. She lost and I believe the vast amount of the country is as tired of her as they already are of Trumps tweets

Hillary is done when it comes to politics and being in the political arena, but Hillary still has a place, and trying to mute her would not be good for the country, she's a lot of bad press, and if you really pay attention it was a lot of lies that were falsely placed in places by the Russians etc. but to turn her off would not be good, she's done so many good things for the middle class and the children of this country.. Should she run again for public office no, and I'm sure she won't... People like her still need to be heard...

she can only be heard if people listen and I think they stopped. I don't think her loyal base is any larger than Trumps.

Time for her to fade into the backround. She has become a polarizing figure. Bye, Bye Hilary
