It's pretty incredible that every win the Yankees have had this postseason has been in an elimination game!!  They are 4-0 in "win or go home" games (and 0-2 in non-elimination games).  No other team has more than one win in elimination games this year!

I think it says something about this team's character.  I'm pretty sure that this year's Yankees are the first team ever to have their first four postseason wins all coming in elimination games.

I have sensed since the Red Sox series at the beginning of September that this was a "special" team.  They have that "it" factor.  Ever since Bird came back, Tanaka started pitching well, and they made those trades to get this awesome bullpen, I felt that they could win it all this year.  They're healthy.  They have depth at every position, and all through the pitching staff.  And they are playing their best baseball of the year (like 25-11 since Sept 1).  That's why I was so frustrated by the sentiment that they are playing with "house money" and that they'll definitely be better in the future.....Well, the future is NOW, and their best opportunity might be right in front of them.  They are a GREAT team.

Yep and it will be more of the same next year with more talent on the way to the Bronx. Acevedo is in Tampa right now staying ready in case of an emergency. Next year we'll start to see guys like him, Adams, Frazier and Torres jump on the youth bandwagon and emerge in NY. It is a beautiful, beatiful thing.

I doubt Todd Farzier is back next season but I do hope that they can pull this ALCS out and give the guy a shot at winning in NY. That would be really nice to see for a guy like him. He's grown on me big time. I wasn't a fan when they made the trade. I'm a fan of the guy today.

Bird was the biggest surprise to me...  I figured he'd just start fresh next year and the Yanks were wasting time bringing him back this year...  I guess I was....

WRONG!
