Just had a look at his numbers with Detroit. Looks like he's really come alive with a decent lineup behind him. He's 5-0 with a 1.08 ERA since going to Houston. 43 K's in 34 innings. Yankees haven't faced him since 2016. I was thinking that the game against Verlander was the one we might get. Not so sure now. Best bet is to get into their pen tonight and tomorrow.

Those 5 games were against SEA, LAA, SEA, LAA, TEX and lowered his ERA from 3.74 to 3.36 in those 5 wins going 6 inning+ in each start.

Kate Upton had something to do with those numbers.

Jonuts, what does the Houston lineup have to do with Verlander's 1.08 ERA?

Verlander clearly got a second wind after being traded to Houston, a team he can help win a championship. A change in scenery and that added incentive can do wonders for man's brain. The brain can make a person physically stronger, especially, when he is trying to achieve something.

Yankees have always handled Verlander pretty well, hopefully that gets into his head and he pitches a clunker.

Seems a breath of fresh air/change of scenery, does a lot for a pitcher, he's what he is, we have to hit who ever we face, lets hope it's Verlander today, or we go home 0-2.. Now the pressure switches to Severino, he has to duplicate his last outing, and so does our Offense.. GO YANKEES, GO..
