I know, it's water under the bridge...but the bottom line is, the Yankees didn't blow any of their home games to the Astros the way the Dodgers just did, which means the Yankees were a stronger team (at least at home) than the Dodgers are. Remember just how close the Yankees came to winning it all this year, if the Dodgers go on to lose the World Series.

Bottom Line: IF a team has the luxury of being UP 3-2 in the ALCS, and they manage to score a SINGLE RUN in the last two games.. they don't blong anywhere near the World Series. Just because they went 7 against Houston does not mean that they beat the Dodgers. This is not Rock,Paper, Scissors

Be that as it may, the world will now see the Yankees as being the 3rd best team in baseball, as a result of this season, but I'll know there's only 1 team for them to climb over to win the trophy. Dodgers haven't impressed me at all...a one man team...Kershaw...no Kershaw, and they're just another average team. If you're watching the WS, take a good look at the Astros' players, and remember how SCARED they looked on the field in Yankee Stadium, when they Yankees were about to beat them in their 3rd straight game there. They actually had doubts...no doubts against the Dodgers...I could see that in game two when they came back...they KNEW they would come back...when they blew game 4 against the Yankees, and then got blown out in game 5, the Astros looked defeated...they didn't beat the Yankees in that series, the Yankees beat themselves by not being prepared for game 7, against a pitcher they knew was not Keuchel OR Verlander.

try to take the pacifier out of your mouth. The Yanks scored 3 RUNS in 4 Road playoff games in the ALCS. Your tunnel-vision argument that the Yanks defeated themselves could easily be made by an Indians fan for the ALDS. Altuve in Game 2 got a hit off of Chapman, on the very first pitch in the 9th. Then he blasted through the bases forcing rushed throws home on Correa's double.

the Astros scored 4 RUNS in two extra innings to win a pivotal Game 2 in LA.

Yanks can't do that.

The Yanks did not hit at all on the road. At all.

YANKEES had a Road Losing record of 40-41, teams that WIN the World Series always have both

Home AND Road winning records. Always. Dodgers 47-34, and Astros are 53-28 on Road respectively.

Yankees no chance against either team, really

The only reason you don't get Hits are:

1) the pitcher beat you straight up.

2) you are too nervous, or scared to focus

either way, those qualities does not belong in the World Series.

Teams that truly belong in the World Series do not relinquish 3-2 leads in the Championship Series. Period.

I'll remember you made that comment in a few days, should whoever wins tomorrow night's game (to take a 3-2 lead in the series) fail to win the seires in Los Angeles. By the way, the Yankees were still the best team in 2001, but they lost the series after taking a 3 games to 2 lead...it happens to the best of them.

Yankees had no chance with that BS strike zone in Houston.

Maybe it is time for the electronic strike zone.

Good luck with that. The umpires union would laugh.

Give it time...it will happen eventually. It has to be infuriating to owners who spend millions to make it to the playoffs only to watch their season go down the tubes in a pivotal moment because of some bullcrap strike zone.

Simple answer: Take the Home Plate Umpire and put him in the infield.  There'd be two umps on each side of the infield, call them "A," "B," "C," and "D."  A calls all the plays at 3rd base, B calls all the plays on the 3rd base side of 2nd base, C calls all the plays on the 1st base side of 2nd base and D calls all the plays at 1st base.  Each ump gets 1/4 of the infield and 1/4 of the outfield.

Same pay, same benefits package, same personnel rotated in the same way.  Problem solved.
