I would liek to see that lefty bat , but there is no way you can give up Adams for him . Betances straight up for him is good enough !!!

He's coming off a bad year and has no position. Agreed Betances and some other player but no highly rated pitching prospect. No way Adams. The Yanks need starting pitching, not to trade the one who could be in the rotation.

He's coming off a bad year, has a low batting average and high strikeouts. His last season's playing weight I doubt he can play LF in Yankee Stadium. He seems to be a DH. Betances and Acevedo for Schwarber is a fair trade only because of Schwarber's HR potential in Yankee Stadium.

I think thats fair but would try to keep Acevedo out of it. Another player addded but no close good pitching prospects. The Yanks have so much depth in the pen they could afford to trade Betances. He ended the seasoin bad but his stats overall were good. Schwarber was terrible in the begining of last season but was better in the 2qnd half.

He has huge upside as a hitter. He's built like a DH which isn't a good thing but I think he has the potential to be a real good one.

I know what you're saying. The Cubs need pitching. I mentioned  Acevedo because in my opinion Abreu is going to be a better pitcher than him and I'm not sure if the Cubs would trade Schwarber for Betances and Tate.

Hey guys, Ihaven't seen any of these kids pitch but from what I'm reading, the farm is absolutely loaded with hard throwing top prospects. I agree with yank, Schwarber had an off year but he's still a kid. Betances by himself might have been enough coming off of 2015 and pehaps 2016.I don't think he has that kind of value so imo, in order to get Schwarber it's going to take a top pitching prospect + so I'm willing to give up Adams or another top prospect plus Betances  to get  another potential 40 homerun guy that's still so young

We are already short a couple of starters. No way I part with MLB ready pitching prospects for a left handed DH, even a good one. Maybe if the Cubs wanted a different kind of deal I'd listen better. With Torres, Estrada, Wade and Andujar in the organization, I am not sure if the field is big enough for all of them. But I need the pitching as much as the Cubs do and I have the same goals this year that they have.

I agree about having the same goal as the Cubs but I don't think Chance Adams is the guy that put's us over the top. Shwarber might

I believe Chance Adams and Justice Sheffield are the real deal, you dont deal them for a guy coming off a bad year. I mean a bad year where he hit 30 home runs but yea a bad year. A package centered around Betances and lesser prospects is what I would do, there is also this,

I think Hal Is saying they Intend to spend a Significant Ammount of Money. What you guys are not getting Things changed when we got to with in one game of the WS that wasnt supposed to happen and now the team intends to compete. where in there original plan was to rebuild for 2 years then compete. Winning in 2017 changed the plan...

No doubt so that means no big ticket free agents unless he dumps money off the books.

It might take an Adams to get him but I'd try to keep away from anyone that could help next year.
