I think Romine is a typical backup and he's fine.  If he's the biggest problem we should win about 105 games

Well New we want a perfect team .I'm willing to go into the season with the team they have. I think if needed someone in the system can step in the rotation if needed but if Sanchez gets hurt I'm not impressed with Romine. He did OK for his short stint when Sanchez was out but still not a fan. Looked at his stats. 26 SB against. He threw out 3 . Thats 10% . Not good.. In 229 AB's he hit .218 with 2 HR's and 21 RBI. You can get away with that if Sanchez stays healthy but if not he doesn't cut it. Just saying a backup like Avila would have been perfect to spell Sanchez and Bird. They can do better.

I understand but I think it's hard to sign guys that are used to starting and have them come off the bench unless they are at the tail end of their career. I'm sure a guy like Lucroy is looking for one more payday

Yes I'm sure Lucroy would want a full time job and a good deal.. Avila had no problem with the role and only signed for a 2 year 8 mil contract. LL mentioned him as soon as the off season started. He was the guy.Catches and plays 1st to.To late now.

I think the Yankees are saving every last dollar in case they have to add someone, especially another arm at the deadline, that's why players like Lucroy don't make sense to them ??

Romine is a better catcher and cheaper. Pass

Romine is not a better catcher than anyone we named.  He is just a cheap generic back-up, the more he plays the worse off we are
