Who the hell knows what happens in that one. Hopefully the lineup stays hot and makes it a non-issue.

I don’t think Gray has a history of retaliation. If we do hit anyone, go after JD.

We're going to have to score a bunch again, their offense is hitting on all cylinders, I could easily say to win this game it's going to take eight runs or more to win again tonight... I like the idea, Stanton and Sanchez are beginning to heat up...

I'm going to go ahead and say it. In all the games I've watched him pitch Sonny  Gray has never impressed me.

I haven't been so that impressed with Gray either. Hopefully he changes my mind this season.

Gray is a .500 pitcher who pitched in a pitcher friendly park with the A’s

I want him to be successful but it seems we have to score 6-8 runs to win when he pitches.

Is it too late to send Sonny Gray back to Oakland? The fact that he works so slowly and inefficiently combined with his lack of a strikeout pitch and nibble-nibble style combined with his inability to go deep into games means he is almost useless on the Yankees. He puts the bullpen on full alert by the 4th inning, his nibble-nibble style doesn't work in the AL East, and he works so slowly that his fielders begin to lose focus. He's the reason I believed the Yankees absolutely needed to get a #1 or #2 starter this off-season or risk having to struggle through a terrible season in the AL East for Sonny Gray. It's like the same story over and over again with Gray in that he nibbles incessently and we end up worrying about his pitch count by the 4th inning. Ace, he is not. This is not a good pitcher, folks.

Cone says he's a nibbler, I think he's just consistently wild, they say he has such good stuff, but I don't give a damn how good of stuff you have if you can't throw it over the plate it's just called being wild as he!! in my book.. Red Sox pitchers throw strikes, usually they have as many pitches in the 7th inning as our pitchers have in the fourth.. Their hitters don't chase balls off the plate, we seem to get ourselves out by swinging at pitches that are waste pitches off the plate.. Red Sox are much more disciplined at the plate than we are, and that what makes them a better team than us right now..
